We stayed here on 8th July when we attending a family function in nearby Widdrington Station. The welcome was extremely warm the room was very comfortable and the breakfast delightful, I do not hesitate to recommend this place and it is a great place to improve your crocheting skills or just buy some wool. Great Base to use to visit... More

We stayed as a couple for one night as we were going to a wedding nearby, and this place is excellent in every way. It's set in a lovely place where they have hens and ponies in the fields around the house. The house itself is cosy, comfortable and peaceful, with beautiful rooms and comfy beds. The couple who run... More

A lovely welcome with lemon drizzle cake! Very quiet surroundings and fabulous breakfasts! Not far to the beach and Gillian was quick to provide recommendations for places to visit! Would definitely go back again. Wasn't even annoyed by the cockerel alarm clock ;)

We were here for 2 nights beginning of June 2015. Very friendly hosts Gillian and David welcomed us right away. We were offered tea as soon as we arrived. The room was a bit narrow but quite alright. Breakfast was very well and nicely served. Sure worth to visit again one day. Jan and Andrea The Netherlands

Its not hard to find this place if you know you're way around the area or have some form of satnav. Its an absolutely lovely place to stay and the rustic exterior masks a beautifully decorated interior complete with power shower. The breakfast is just as good as the room. Would definitely stay here again. Even the 5am wake up... More

Stayed over the August bank holiday and had the most wonderful 3 nights. We were given a ginormous pot of tea and cake on our arrival and our hosts couldn't have been friendlier. Breakfasts were amazing - the tomatoes were to die for - and enjoyed watching the hens out on the lawn each morning. Our bedroom was very comfortable... More

We had a lovely, homely stay here at Stobswood. All very friendly. Good location to many areas of places to visit. Clean rooms, fantastic bathroom with shower and a comfy bed. Breakfast was great too. We will definitely stay again if in the area .

I stayed this week on business and this B&B was sooo comfortable. Gillian and partner were away this week but the service received from their friends was superb. Both very friendly and looked after me and my colleague greatly. Above and beyond any other B&B.

There is nothing really wrong with the b&b it’s just a bit unfinished in places. We stayed in room one which is advertised as having a wet room and after we used the shower for the first time it was very wet. If you use the shower on anything but the lowest settings it floods the bathroom in minutes. The... More
