This was our second stay at Elishaw Farm and was just a good as the first. We have even decided to spend Christmas here! We also recommended staying here to my brother and his girlfriend who loved it just as much as us and also decided to come back for Christmas - let's hope it snows :)

Our second time staying in chicken coop cottage, the first time was 6 years ago when we stayed for a week in December for our honeymoon. This time round was a 3 night short break with our four year old daughter. It was just how we remembered it. Clean, cosy and comfortable. A freshly baked cake, wine, chocolates and even...

This was our third visit to Farmhouse Cottage and not our last as we still have a long list of wonderful walks to do and places to visit. We can only echo all the positive comments that other reviewers have made. Thank-you Tina and Alan for the warm welcome, milk, lovely fresh eggs and delicious cake. A real home from...

One of the best holiday cottages we've ever stayed in. The Chicken Coop View was comfortable and cosy. The log burner made our rainy days in something special. Tina couldn't have been more accommodating in answering my many queries before we even left home! The surroundings were wonderful and the ponies keen to eat our bread and apples. The walk...

We are enjoying a week stay at the Farmhouse Cottage here. I cannot recommend this place enough. The Cottage is lovely and cosy, well equipped and offers total relaxation. Jasper (our Dalmatian) absolutely loves walking round the surrounding fields down to the river. Our adorable neighbours are two Shetland Ponies, Sooty and Sweep plus Sheep and 8 x Hens which...

What a fantastic place to stay! Cottage is lovely, clean and cosy. Kids loved the outdoor space to roam and play, particularly the rope swing in the barn and feeding Sooty and Sweep, the shelties became a daily attraction. Great location for exploring the national park and not far to do the 'roman' stuff. We spent a couple of days...

Had a weeks stay in Chicken Coup with our working Cocker Spaniel, the cottage was very comfortable, really enjoyed the wood burner. The views from the cottage & over the river were great. So much todo in & around the area mean't we did not get round to everything. make sure you visit Craigside & Belsay House, Castle & Gardens. The...

Absolutely loved our stay at Elishaw Farm. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We were greeted with a homemade sponge cake, fresh eggs and milk. A Beautiful, peaceful location to relax and enjoy the amazing countryside views. The log fire makes the cottages so cosy on an evening after we enjoyed walking along the private stretch of...

We have just returned from a superb week away and could not have asked for a better location or accommodation or hosts! The cottages themselves were spotlessly clean with many additional items provided to give it a very personal touch. It was a great base from which to explore Northumberland or even further afield. The rope swings in the barn...
