We had no qualms about returning to this cottage for a weeks summer holidays as the lockdown was lifted, and everything was as we would have expected. Huw and Margaret have worked really hard to ensure the cottage was spotless before we arrived. If there is anything you need you simply ask them as they live next door and are wonderfully helpful if you need them. The cottage itself is gorgeous and in a fabulous setting, and positioned so that you can enjoy everything this amazing part of Northumberland has to offer. We have grown up children, who year after year have been growing up here, and still want to keep coming back even now they are young adults. Simply put come and stay because you can do so with complete confidence, knowing the cottage will be spotless. I am sure we will be back again and again. Thank you both for a wonderful stay

It was lovely to have regular guests for our first guests after lockdown. Thank you for your kind review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed your holiday at Fenton Hill once again and are happy to recommend staying to others. In these uncertain times we are doing our utmost to ensure the safety of our guests. Having completed a Covid19 Holiday Let cleaning course, followed guidelines, written risk assessments & cleaning protocol and bought antiviral disinfectant etc for cleaning. We adhere to social distancing but are still on hand if needed and to answer any questions. Some guests are naturally nervous about having a holiday so we would like to reassure them that we will continue to do as much as we possibly can to give our guests confidence to stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Fenton Hill in the future.

Just got home from our second trip to crabapple this year. We had a fabulous time. Lots of days on the amazing beaches, trips to the valley and some great bike rides. Lovely comfy beds for all five of us meant we slept well after our active days. The boys enjoyed playing in the garden and riding their bikes down the track to see the goats. I don’t think you can beat North Northumberland for a family holiday and am glad I have converted my husband of this fact. Now when can I go back…

Thank you for the kind review. It’s lovely when guests can enjoy family times together in some of the places within easy reach of Fenton Hill including the wonderful beaches, beautiful valleys and quiet roads. Northumberland has so much more to offer than just the main attractions. The enclosed garden and quiet track on the farm are also an added bonus. We’d love to welcome you back to Fenton Hill on another occasion.

This cottage is a delight to stay in. Everything you could possibly need is thought of. The surrounding area is a dog walkers’ paradise. We have been there five or six times and don’t look for anywhere else to stay. The views from the cottage are stunning and nearby Wooler a great place to eat out.We shall definitely return.

If you want to stay in self catering accommodation in a fantastic location, with amazing views across the Cheviot Hills, this is the place for you!The cottage had everything required for a comfortable stay, including a open fire for holidays out of season, and the hosts are just next door to advise and provide any help you may require. They also greet you on arrival with delicious home made scones and cake!

Thank you for your kind review. Our central location for the area and wonderful views are certainly some of the reasons to stay at Fenton Hill. We always want our guests to feel welcome and to be very comfortable during their stay. Living close by means it is easy to be on hand if needed and as most guests are ready for a cuppa when they arrive we provide some homemade cake or scones with butter and jam for them to enjoy. We light the fire for guests arriving in very cold weather which is very welcoming and appreciated although the heating keeps the cottage cosy for those who prefer not to use it.
