We arrived and was met by a man who ran the hotel he was very chatty and made both me and my boyfriend feel welcomed instantly. This place is a bit of an enigma. It is huge with 40 odd bedrooms and banqueting suites and bar (most of which are closed). It was part of a hotel chain and is now in private hands. It needs a huge amount of investment and tlc as it is tired and lifeless. Whether the present owner can do that...

My partner and I were looked after the second we arrived. Given the choice of 2 rooms Dr. Adam made sure we were comfortable with our stay, turning on the heater and showing us the bathroom. Understandably the place was a little less than you'd expect of an upper class northern B&B but the price reflects the treatment we received....

This hotel is beyond Fawlty towers levels of incompetence. It sounds no better than back in May when we arrived to a cold room and a night manager who offered us cans of beer. Unless you really want an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons simply avoid it. The owner should get out of the hotel business or get...

I booked three rooms here but we couldn't stay in the rooms as they were too dirty and full off insects of the roach type. Stay away from here at all costs....We spoke to the manager who refused to refund our room and booked a Hotel near by.
