One of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in, the Goathouse is a self contained annex behind Samantha, the owner's, house. The room has everything you might want, a very comfy bed, spacious bathroom, free wifi, freeview TV. Breakfast is served in Sam's lounge and is well cooked and well presented. Overall just excellent.

We stayed here for six nights and we were over the top happy. Everything about The Goat House deserves superlatives. Samantha, our hostess, was a delight. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do to make our stay better. First off, the cottage is absolutely spotless. We were shocked to learn that it had been in use for seven years because it...

Stayed here for a night when attending a family party. Absolutely lovely house and well appointed accommodation in the Goat House in the garden. Everything has been thought of - great attention to detail and very clean. The breakfast was gorgeous. The owner made us most welcome and we enjoyed our visit immensely. Would recommend without hesitation.

Stayed for one night on a work visit, Samantha was a lovely host and the annexe was private and spotlessly clean, bed comfy, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was amazing I will defiantly be calling again on my next visit to Nottingham. Tastefully decorated lovely views when eating breakfast.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Samantha met us and even offered to help with the luggage. The accommodation was at the end of the garden and was amazing. Very cosy and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was lovely and the bath was nice and deep with bathrobes as a nice extra touch. Samantha booked us a...

For us it was such a shame that our stay was so short and rushed (only in the area for a wedding). Would have been very happy to stay longer in the beautiful b&b (although I think more than just a b&b). Great!!

A beautiful b&b in a lovely village. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. Also Samantha was extremely hospitable with our small daughter. Would love to stay again and have no hesitation in highly recommending Ivy Cottage.

We stayed here whilst visiting friends in a nearby village and loved it. The goat house is decorated beautifully and the owners are very hospitable and welcoming. My daughter said it was the most comfortable bed she has ever stayed in. A little gem

Stayed here 1 night after a visit to Sherwood Forest and Rufford Abbey. Our host Samantha was amazing and so friendly. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. The little cottage was great. There is a pub across the road for dinner that was also amazing.

Stayed one night at this delightful gem of a find. Situated in a picturesque village, it is a very quiet, very relaxing, very comfortable well equipped place. It has those touches of quality that make the difference. After a busy day travelling to various meetings I was able to unwind and enjoy the ambience of this accommodation. Breakfast was yummy...

“Beautifully modernised stable block. One double and one twin with shared, large bathroom. Private - within grounds of lovely farmhouse.”
purpleperson28, 30 Dec 2016 | Read review
“There are only two rooms, one double and one twin. Both are very nice - the double is perhaps slightly prettier, but Samantha makes your stay lovely whichever room you are in! You eat in a charming dining room in the house but you stay in the beautifully decorated gatehouse at the bottom of the garden, which gives more privacy.”
