Clumber Park Lodges offers a tranquil retreat, nestled in a picturesque setting on the edge of Clumber Park, which guests consistently laud for its natural beauty. While the lodges are praised for their cleanliness and comfort, some visitors have noted room for enhancement, particularly regarding Wi-Fi consistency and festive ambiance. The staff's friendliness stands out, despite the occasional hiccup with amenity maintenance. Though opinions on value are divided, with some dissatisfaction over additional costs and quality, the hot tubs and the lodge's modern decor are popular features among guests.

We love our lodge weekend breaks and this site is so much cheaper than comparable ones, we have already stayed twice. Couple of points that would get the full rating, no WiFi , yes I know the idea is to switch off, but the real world scenario is most people have commitments work related or family related that can’t be switched off. Towels are a bit cheap and small, more hooks at side of hot tubs for them as ours always ended up on the floor! . And a swifter check in, a lot on the day we arrived were delayed as lodges were not ready.
HOWEVER.....those are small niggles, and the positives outweigh them. The interiors are large, immaculately clean and well set up to self cater and spend time socially. A half hour walk gets you to the main central area of Clumber Park , which is free to do as a pedestrian, and all the staff on site are lovely and friendly, and keen to resolve any problems. Wish the hot tubs were in the more usual place of the back decking, but if you select your lodge carefully from the site plan you can ensure privacy . (17 was terrific and backed onto the woods.)

Stayed here for two nights with my partner and some friends. We stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge with a hot tub, 2 bathrooms and an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. The lodge was spacious and very modern. The hot tub was cleaned and checked every morning which was nice. The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you may need. From baking trays to cheese graters and plastic cups to use in the tub. In the reception area you can buy essential things like shower gel and juice however it closes at 4pm. The Woodside cafe was nice and rustic. We only had a coffee whilst there, we was told we got a free glass of Prosecco each but we brought enough alcohol ourselves hahah. You got a little book with things nearby to do and even numbers for local takeaways if you ran out of food. The only downside was there was no internet in the lodge, and very poor reception. It didn’t bother me as it was refreshing to be away from social media and just relax. But if you wanted to do work or watch netflix then you couldn’t. The walk in Clumber Park was amazing and full of beautiful scenery. My advise is if you’re going for a walk in Clumber park then take your own food/drinks because ‘Central Bark’ charged £2:95 for an orange juice. All in all the trip was amazing and I can’t wait to be in the tub again! Thankyou for a great stay.

Stayed 7th-9th February 2020 in Lodge 78 (Lime Spa)
Reception staff friendly/helpful, quick check-in and welcome drink on arrival in the on site cafe/bar.

Lodge was extremely clean on arrival, Very spacious, Modern. Parking allocated near the lodge but you are also allowed to drive up to the lodge to unload. Kitchen utensils provided (even down to plastic glasses for hot tub use). Had slight issues with the oven but luckily could still cook using the hob. 1x toilet roll provided per bathroom but due to being a self catering site (which we didn’t find out until arrival) I’d suggest either bringing additional toiletries with you depending on length of stay or purchasing from the shop within the reception area (most items reasonably priced).
Hot Tub was better than expected, different light settings/jets, Ready for use on arrival.

Lodge 78 was the perfect setting for an anniversary weekend, Very peaceful, beautiful and calm surroundings. Very keen to return to Clumber Park Lodges and would highly recommend.

We stopped here on the half term week in October and it was such a cute little cabin to say they are new they still included a lot of the necessities that are required to have an amazing stay. All the rooms were lovely and clean. Spacious areas I do agree that we had the larch Spa 8 person cabin for 6 of us because it was the only one left and it was clearly made for 6 so if you were to go for 8 you would probably struggle on places to sit in the living room area. However saying that they did have a lovely seating area on the bay window and when we had some visitors we all semt to gather round but it wouldve been to cramped if they had stayed for the night or the week with us. We actually have just booked this again for a 4 person cabin with it being located next to clumber Park it gives you a lot to do and the fact it's not that far away from centres and food shops it's in a perfect location. I did see a review about mattresses which I did agree they were uncomfy but nothing that was back breaking or made me want to leave sooner. The reception desk were friendly like I said it was my birthday during this time and they allowed some more of my family to come visit and let them stay however long in fact even said they were allowed to stop if they would like which was lovely. Nice little Indian there jhinook it is a restaurant but we had the dog so we had it as a delivery which you do have to pick up but it was ready within half an hour not even that, it was really good, especially that it was feeding more than 6 people they did a pretty good job getting it sorted. Another downside of our stay the hot tub wasn't hot it was warm which made it worse because it was cold outside your body didn't get warm being in there so we only ended up staying not even 5 minutes at a time but they keep the temperature locked so you can't adjust it yourself it's in a box with a padlock, we did mention it to someone who worked there but they didn't do anything. I'm looking forward to coming back down during the summer period with the decking furniture looks so nice to chill out on and have a bbq. The shop on site had all the stuff you need and if not a sainsbury is 5-10mins round corner. The cafe on site is a bit expensive but was still nice to go have a little treat

Stayed here for 3 nights (Friday- Monday) in the Lime Spa lodge (number 43). It was absolutely amazing and surpassed my expectations!!

We arrived at 7pm on Friday night and collected keys from the woodshed which is the onsite bar/cafe. Check in was quick and easy and advised free drink on arrival

The lodge itself was so modern and finished to a high standard:

Living Room: tv with freeview and DVD player, doors opened onto the outside decking, 2 large comfy sofas.

Kitchen: well equipped, big fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, oven and hob, kettle. Everything you need from pans, jugs, cheese grater, plates, glasses, cups (all types of plastic cups for us in the hot tub) the best was the dishwasher to !!

Bedrooms: wardrobes, comfy beds, bed linen included for the stay, dressing table, plenty of plug sockets in both bedrooms.

Bathrooms: showers powerful and warm. 1 toilet roll included and 1 bath and hand towel included (this doesn’t get washed during the stay so make you take extra). we had an en-suite and a shared bathroom in our lodge but think they are all different.

Hot tub: amazing! Ready to use just pull the cover off. They did have an 11pm curfew for being in the hot tub. Fairly private one side of the fence is open but enough space between lodges that no one was over looking

The park itself is great, we had issue with noise one night as some people were still in hot tub at 12:30 but after a call to the onsite security guard he sorted it and was really helpful :)

There was a shop onsite as well in the day for any bits you may need.

Over all I really enjoyed the stay here it was perfect and I hope to return again!

I stayed here with my support bubble for a short break away. We stayed in lodge 70 which had a private hot tub. The hot tub was amazing and easy to use. It was cleaned out every morning by staff. The lodge itself was very clean and we were provided with a small welcome pack with tea and coffee sachet, dishwasher tablet, salt and sugar. I read a couple of trip advisor reviews before my stay and someone recommended to bring more dishwasher tablets so I brought afew. I’d recommend to do the same thing because who wants to do dishes on holiday?
The lodge itself was clean and cosy. We had to put the heating on (the themostate is on the left wall as you walk in, next to the mirror) due to it being cold. But the lodge quickly heated up. Our DVD player wasn’t working but we phoned reception and a staff member came around to replace it with a new one with in 10 minutes which was great service. The showers in the lodge were always warm. Had no problems with the boiler. I did have an issue however with sleeping in the twin room (which felt more like a boat cabin) as the beds are not made for someone who is 5ft 10 like me. If you are shorter than 5ft 6 then you won’t have a problem. My feet were hanging over the edge of the bed. I just laughed it off and I ended up sleeping on the big sofa in the living room for the rest of our stay. It was very comfortable. Signal isn’t the best at the lodge site. You can still get signal at certain places in the lodge but it’s very temperamental an it’s the same for the WiFi. so if you are looking for a place to switch off from the outside world then this perfect. They provide bath mat, hand towel and afew shower towels in your bedroom. If anyone is coming here I’d recommend bringing your own towels, hand soap, tea towel and spare loo roll. I enjoyed my stay and would come here again. Recommended!

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the hot tub experience on site. 60 of our 76 lodges have a private hot tub to use, and these are denoted as Spa lodges on our website. We do provide some complimentary items for arrival including a cleaning pack and 2 dishwasher tablets to get you started. There is a small shop on site where you can pick up the essentials of you've forgotten to bring them with you. We do have a variety of lodges to choose from, with a variety of different lay outs and bed sizes, so I would always recommend speaking to us when booking so we can ensure your accommodation matches any specific requirements. We do hope to see you again soon at Clumber Park Lodges. Kind Regards JP

A group of 4 of us stayed in one of the spa lodges at Clumber Park at the beginning of march 2020. We arent local so decided to travel the hours up to the park on the day of check in quite early to leave us in good time. Check in is 4pm but when we started to queue to check in, we were told our lodge wasn't ready yet and to go away for an hour or two and come back. Because we had travelled up early, we had already killed an hour or two sussing out local shops and pubs etc so we were'nt best pleased to have to wait. However after explaining this to the receptionist, we were told to go to the cafe for a complimentary drink and they would call the cafe to tell us our lodge was ready, so that was great.

the Lodges are clean, spacious, hot tub was ready and warm and clean, kitchen facilities were great and included the things you tend to forget such as washing up liquid and a sponge. Inside the lodge info pack there are local takeaways etc so we used one of these and it was great. There are nearby pubs but due to the location being so remote, it always required someone to drive. Lodge had 2 bedrooms, one double with en suite and one twin room.

Only negative experience we had was around 10pm on our final night (sunday), we were in the hot tub and we had no music on and were not being loud, and the park warden came to inform us there had been a noise complaint and stated we were not meant to be in the hot tub at that time of night, so asked us to get out. It is not stated anywhere in the information provided that there are any time limitations for the hot tub use, and considering the night before there was a nearby lodge with music blaring, shouting and screaming until 1:30am i thought this was slightly unfair as were only chatting and were being mindful of noise.

Other than that had a really enjoyable weekend and the staff were really helpful on check in and out. Would return

We spent a long weekend here at the end of July along with some other family members. We shared a Lime Spa ‘lodge’ with our 2 children.
As many reviewers have pointed out, the name of the development is misleading as the smaller accommodation units are static caravans and not Lodges. They are, however, very clean and well equipped and though they are much smaller than what we would term a ‘lodge’ it was big enough for the 4 of us and our dog for a long weekend.
The site is well located, really close to both Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest and all the amenities in Worksop. We had food delivered using Just Eat without any problems because of the proximity to Worksop.
The reception area has a shop selling lots of basics but there wasn’t anything else available on site at the time.
Our main problem was noise from other guests. The ‘lodges’ are sited very close to each other - one of the reasons, I guess, you have to leave cars in the main car park as there is not enough space to park.
On our first night we were kept awake until 2.00am by the 2 couples sharing the ‘lodge’ next to us partying in their hot tub. I tried to contact security staff but didn’t get a response. When I spoke to Reception staff the next morning they apologised and told me they were aware of the matter and that security staff had spoken to the people during the night but they had refused to keep the noise down. I was also told that the Site Manager was off to see them this morning and that we had not been the only ones to complain about the noise. Though I appreciated the apology from the Reception staff, I was a little surprised that given the number of complaints, the 2 couples had not been asked to leave the site for breaching the rules which clearly stated no one should be using their hot tub beyond 11.00pm.
The next night, the 2 couples next to us did vacate their hot tub by 11.00pm and kept the noise down, however the whole site was disturbed by a major party that was going on between a few lodges at the bottom of the site. There were a number of people running around screaming and shouting until around 4.00am and loud music being played. The next morning there was a queue of very angry people waiting for the reception to open !!! Not sure if the culprits were asked to leave, but there was no repeat party on our third night there. Our neighbours, however, were once again partying in their hot tub but did stop around 11.30pm which we were very grateful about.
If the ‘lodges’ were sited further apart I am sure it would be better for everyone. Because of their proximity to each other, the way different people choose to spend their evenings will have a negative impact on others which is a shame for everyone concerned. Given the cost of staying there - we paid £565 for 3 nights - I would have expected better.

A perfect stay at Clumber Park lodges...
After booking we received confirmation and on the morning a welcome pack lots of helpful information.
We arrived a few hours before check in so enjoyed a few drinks at the cafe on site, helped that the weather on arrival and throughout the week was great and enjoyed dining on the decking all but one evening. the reception team very welcoming and informative.
I was a little worried with a few of the reviews but felt that the site was well placed, peaceful and very well kept. Although advised that The hot tub may not be ready on arrival in the T&Cs, ours was. Shame we couldn’t enjoy it on the day we were leaving with checkout at 9am and the check in not till 6pm does feel like you miss out on a few hours, but its understandable to have facilities cleaned and ready, and cleanliness was to a very high standard.
We had good phone signal (Vodafone) to watch Netflix and stream music. But I downloaded some just in case. We were in lodge 36, I think the Wi-Fi was ok but can’t comment as we just used our data, I gather the further away you are from reception you may not get Wi-Fi as on a few evenings we had a small gathering of children outside on devices. Although They were no bother and all week I didn’t find there was much noise and park was very quiet in the evenings. A very polite warden came round one evening about half 10 to just advise to be out of the hot tub by 11pm which given the reviews by some kept up with people in them late, I think this is the best way to handle this, all other nights we were never in the hot tub past 9 so I’m not sure if this is something they do every evening.
Definitely took note of the reviews taking extra towels, tea towel, washing up liquid and toilet rolls.
As there was only two of us the lodge was very spacious and cosy in the evening.
Think all that’s left to say is we thought it was a great place for the dogs and the surrounding area is fantastic for walks. Thanks Clumber Park lodges, keep up the excellent work.

We only paid £340 for 4 nights in a Lime Spa (hot tub) lodge. Folks have moaned that the lodges are modern but wood cladding caravans, however, the pictures give this away before you book so there's no real room for complaint. The lodge was contemporary, very clean, well equipped and warm with central heating and a lovely fire. Having 2 shower rooms was also a plus for a smaller type lodge. The hot tub was serviced every morning and was a very nice tub in comparison to some I've stayed at.
It's a quiet site in nice surroundings, not really for kids, more for people looking for peace and quiet and a chill-out. Hot tub cut off is 2300 hours which I think is a good thing so there's no noise after this time, and you have to return your car to the car park after unloading to stop noisy traffic all the time. Security were quite hot on this for the selfish people who think they don't have to abide by the rules.
We had to complain about 3 very foul-mouthed women loudly F'ing and C'ing every other word next door whilst in their hot tub and the staff were all over it the same day, as was the security chap who 'had words' plus followed up with us daily to see if the issue had stopped.
There is no Wifi apart from the reception but we had 4G with no issues and ordered takeaways via Just eat where they found the lodge easily. Please also look up SMOKIN SHIRLEYS WEBSITE (not on just eat). Book from their own site. Amazing smokehouse ribs etc. and the cheapest I've ever bought. Highly recommended.
We had our dog with us and spent wonderful days walks very nearby at Clumber Park (brilliant day out walking), Sherwood forest visitor centre and walks and Creswell Crags prehistoric gorge (all worth a visit).
If I had to be picky, the only small suggestions I would make are....
More hooks in the accommodation for coats etc
A gate so you can let the dog safely in the hot tub area (although patio is secure).
Simple attention to detail by supplying a pyrex jug for hot water/gravy etc.
An earlier check-in than 6pm (I'm sure this is achievable even with Covid as it's 930am exit)
Also, take your own tea towel, extra dishwasher tabs, toilet roll and bath towel if there are more than 2 of you.
All in all this was a very nice Early May break for the money. I would definitely return.

Response from JP Gillespie, General Manager at Clumber Park Lodges
Responded 16 May 2021
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to leave your review of our park. We do appreciate the feedback for both ourselves and future guests. We're pleased to see you enjoyed your accommodation. We do have a variety of lodges to choose from. These range from 2 bedroom lodges through to 4 bedroom lodges which can sleep a maximum of 8 people. All of our lodges have a minimum of 2 bathrooms. 60 of our lodges also have a hot-tub, these are listed as Spa Lodges. We think there should be an option to suit most guests and different party sizes. Im sorry to hear you experienced an issue with other guests on site. We are a family friendly site, and as such our policies are in place to ensure the site it kept beneficial for all of the families staying with us. Our team will always respond if there is an issue, and I'm pleased to see they did so in the instance you have reported here. Although there is not Wifi in the lodge, we do have a super fast fibre connection that is free to use and is available in both the reception and Woodshed areas. For anyone struggling with phone signal (we are deep in the forrest), if your phone supports Wi-Fi calling this is the best way to keep in touch if needed. Our site is pet friendly, and roughly 50% of the lodges are pet lodges and so can accommodate a pet. Our location next door to miles of National Trust forestry makes it excellent for a day out walking. In regards to the points you have raised we will take these on board. We are working to bring our check in time back to 4.,00pm, but this needs to be completed in line with the easing of COVID restrictions. We do hope to have this back in place later this year. We do hope to see you again as a returning guest. Kind Regards JP
