Our second stay at Mollies Motel. We stayed for a three nights over a weekend and used it as a base for visiting friends and family in the Cotswolds. We really like this place - it is extremely well designed, feels comfortable and generous, beautiful. The materials chosen are hard wearing, natural and contemporary. The timber cladding in the rooms and the colours are a delight. The bed is large with a luxurious and supportive mattress. The chairs and table in the bedrooms makes it easy to relax or work. The ensuite shower room works well - the tiled walls and slate floor are hardwearing. It is probably about 18 months since our first visit after the motel first opened and it still feels fresh and new, the building is being well maintained. We really like the reception area called "General Store" with its shared workspaces, comfortable seating and 'mid century retro feel'. Coffee and tea are available in this area all day. The staff were engaging and friendly - welcoming. A special place, perfect for a short stay.

Hi Robert, We're so pleased you had such a brilliant stay with us as your base for visiting friends and family. We worked hard to ensure the Mollie's design was stylish, fresh and provided amazing comfort; we're so happy you enjoyed our amenities from our unbelievable beds, rainfall showers and our free and unlimited tea and coffee in our General Store. Our team love to treat everyone who visits Mollie's more like family and friends rather than guests, and we're so pleased that you felt so welcome and find Mollie's so special. We can't wait to welcome you back at Mollie'ss again soon. Thanks, The Mollie's Team

For £50 a night what more can you want.

The rooms are extremely comfortable and the motel felt very modern. Everything appears to have been thought of to be as minimalistic but comfortable as possible. Unescessary items like tea and coffee in the room are removed so that the staff can spend as much time cleaning rooms rather than replenshing stocks etc.

The rooms have a big comfy double bed and a great TV for relaxing in the room,

There was an excellent shower with Cowshed products.

It is such a shame that the Diner that I have reviewed seperately isn't better otherwise this could become a true destination for people to come to rather than just a thoroughfare and pistop on the way.

Hi Gold1234567, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on the your recent visit here to Mollies Motel. We would agree, that the rooms are built, so the Housekeeping team can focus on whats important in the rooms, and with the Tea and Coffee in the reception area it also means that the team have more opportunities to speak to our lovely guests, like yourself!! I would agree, that the showers are absolutely amazing, great way to either unwind after a long day, or wake you up in the morning, that coupled with the beautiful Cowshed products..... well more needs to be said!! I am sorry that the Dining experience wasn't exactly what you were expecting, if you would like to drop me an email then I will pick this up - motel.buckland@molliesmotel.com Well we hope to see you again soon, remember to keep an eye out for some new openings!!

Stopped here twice on my way to and from Oxford. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and is so far removed from the Little Chef style restaurant that one used to find in such a location on a major A-road.
We only had drinks, though the food looked absolutely gorgeous.
The hot drinks I suspect were about the same price as the adjacent petrol station so will make this a regular stop-off point.
Fingers crossed the Bristol branch opens ASAP.

As others have said this is a great place as a stop over.

Quickly, clean, beautiful bedding, amazing showers all for an economical price.

We used this motel as a base while exploring the local area – even had time for a shopping trip to a couple of outlet malls!

Our room was on the 1st floor, comfy large bed and no noise from the busy road. Huge TV with lots of channels. Adored the cowshed products too.

OK there is no hairdryer or iron board in the room, but these are available from reception. Quite nice actually, especially in today's covid times..

Fresh Tea and coffee is available in the “general store”… We used this facility a few times and was lovely to read, have a cuppa in the lounge area while chatting to other guests.

We ate in the diner on one evening, food was inexpensive, great burger and divine cocktails. We also had breakfast, which again was very quirky, round sausages and bacon strips.....

Overall a great base offering a quality product at an inexpensive cost in a very secure COVID environment.

Would we stay here again – hell yeah…!

Spent 2 nights here over August bank holiday. We were so impressed from start to finish!
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Had temperature taken on arrival and room was cleaned and sealed- all Covid safety measures followed and consistent throughout the motel.
The rooms are basic but stylish and clean, and well designed to make the most of a small space. No tea and coffee in the room but the staff downstairs at reception will make one for you if you want one.
Location is good as a base to explore Oxford or the Cotswolds, although you would need a car as it isn’t in walking distance to anything.
There are some lovely country pubs nearby and of course the diner serves delicious fry ups and burgers (we ate there once for dinner and once for breakfast) but you’ll need to make a reservation.
Would definitely return to Mollies!

Hello, We are so pleased you had such an amazing stay with us over the bank holiday. We are so happy that you were so impressed throughout your stay. We worked very hard on ensuring our safety measures would help bring peace of mind to all our guests and we are so pleased that you found this to be the case. Mollie's is a great place to explore Oxford and the Cotswold, we have a bus stop about 3 minutes walk from Mollie's that can get you into Oxford city centre in around 30 minutes! We are so pleased you enjoyed both your dinner and breakfast in our Diner and found our food to be delicious. We are so pleased that you will be returning to Mollie's and we can't wait to welcome you back soon. Thanks, The Mollie's Team

We often stay at Mollies as we feel it constantly offers excellent value for money. The accommodation is far superior to any other accommodation in this price range with lovely beds and linens together with power showers and complementary toiletries from Cowshed. The staff are so friendly and really go the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable. 100%.

This motel was 'suggested ' to us for its location to Shrivenham and its location was good. That is almost the end of the positive comments.

Not being able to book into your
room until 3pm is very late however, not getting into your room until 4.30 is totally unacceptable. Worse is to come.

The rooms do not have a single drawer, a wardrobe to hang your clothes and an electric light system that means if one guest switches his/her bedside light off every light in the room switches off. No tea or coffee facilities in rooms, yes free coffee in reception if you want to go wandering the corridors at 6am!

A really good shower but no hand basin in the toilet, there is however a kitchen sink in the room, I suppose it is considered 'modern'!!!

Room and Bed was spotlessly clean and all of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Of course breakfast was not included but we knew that when we booked but the £11.50 cost of breakfast in the diner was not worth the cost.

The final straw was to walk from our room to get a coffee that had problem been made 2 or three hours earlier and was, at best tepid, confirmed our decision that this would be our last visit. Cheap really was the correct word for this 2 night stopover.

I stayed with friends in July 2022 for the Air Tattoo at Fairford, and I'm still utterly blown away with the superb standard of Mollies, and the absolute bargain prices. Our rooms were perfect, spotless and very well finished, with lovely beds, great facilities, and very quiet, not only could we not hear any road noise, but nothing from the rooms on either side, quite a novelty these days. Even the aircon was barely a whisper, and very efficient.
The reception lounge has free hot and cold drinks 24 hours, and the terrace with the wild flower garden is perfect for lazy afternoon relaxation. There's an M&S Food in the petrol station next door, Mollies quite happy with me taking my own food and drink on the terrace in the sun.
We ate in the diner, the food was excellent, super crispy fries, and the cocktails very well made. Everyone in the motel and diner was very friendly, praise to the management for creating a great customer focussed team.
I mentioned great value, let me just say that Mollies was a quarter the price of the last hotel we booked in Cirencester for the Air Tattoo.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat, wonderful place to stay.

Super friendly lovely staff, amazing and relaxing décor and all the modern facilities you need such as free WIFI and parking. The Cow shed products in a rain shower were divine and they had enough towels two of which were massive, which was a very nice touch. The diner was EXCEPTIONAL. We have both dinner and breakfast there, and will absolutely be going back. For dinner we had cocktails, mozzarella sticks, sweetcorn fritters, chicken wings and I had mac n' cheese and my partner had a huge cheese toastie and chips... it was obviously far too much to eat so we took most of it away in doggy boxes! It was all exquisite. For breakfast we both had poached egg avocado on sour dough bread (which was huge) and amazing quality coffee. The eggs were beautifully done. Again the service was fantastic really attentive but not overwhelming and super friendly. Well done to Libby, Caitlyn, Alex and Katie. You are all so wonderful keep up the good work!
The only downsides I would say is I personally found the mattress a little hard, but that really is the only complaint if you can call it that! We will definitely be back as you put a sparkle in what was going to be quite a choresome weekend otherwise!

We stopped in here on our way home from visiting family, as it was a diner we didn’t expect it to be high end, just some where to quickly stop off and feed the kids. The diner part was fully booked until 9pm (we arrived at 7pm)! We were advised that the drive through’s menu was “pretty much the same”. We discovered that whilst you can buy a whole rotisserie chicken, you can’t buy the kids hot dog in the drive through. The wait was very long, however the staff were apologetic and they were very busy.

We asked for bbq sauce and were told it wasn’t available in the drive through, however they do provide a mustard sauce, that has been decanted into solo cups. Unfortunately they had not put the lids on the cups properly and they had leaked all over our food!

All of there drinks cups are made from plant based materials and are compostable, however the tea bags they use are the plastic ones.

And if that you wasn’t enough they forgot a portion of our fries.

Whilst the food was very nice, the experience was lacking.

All in all underwhelmed.

I live in Bicester and often meet my parents at Mollies as its roughly halfway for us all. I get to Mollies within 20mins and Oxford is about the same from the A420, might be an idea to park and ride as traffic and parking in Oxford can be awful, and will bring out your inner road rage. Right next to Mollies is a BP garage and about 10/15mins away is Faringdon a lovely market town with some nice restaraunts and cafes and few shops plus there's a nice walk to Folley Hill if you wish (I might have the name wrong). Heads up the traffic around Bicester Village at wkds can be awful but once in there is usually plenty of parking and overflow parking all around town, there is also a park and ride if you wish. Bicester does have a Holiday Inn and Premier Inn and Travelodge if Mollies is booked up. Personally I love Mollies, the rooms are great too, clean, simple but has everything you need and a great shower! I love how yoi can use the Mollies App for everything too, like TV, room service and ordering from the diner.
