We had eaten here once before a couple of years back and remembered it being magnificent so surprised the wife on our anniversary and bombed out of London early on Friday arvo. Stayed over with our dog and owners most accommodating - they even left a couple of boneos out for him which he loved! Rooms very nice with a...

We were staying in Kingham on holiday and decided to treat ourselves to lunch at The Kingham Plough on our last full day. There were 8 of us altogether with ages ranging from 10 to 87 years. We found both the service and food to be excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we ordered a mixture of bar snacks...

We were staying nearby and had heard about The Plough so decided to go for lunch. 6 of us including 2 small children. Delicious food for everyone appeared quickly and efficiently. The scotch (quail) eggs were outstanding, trout mini fishcakes with a scrummy sauce and a welsh rarebit that was perfectly melted with a crunchy rim and toast soldiers and...

Just had a lovely weekend at the Kingham Plough. We were looking for a relaxing weekend in the Cotswolds and that is exactly what we got. They do really look after your needs and requests. So for example I asked Kim for 2 negroni cocktails, instead of just mixing a standard version, she asked if we would like a special...

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and visited the restaurant 4 times. The cooking here reveals great skill. We tried most of the dishes from the main menu and were impressed. The atmosphere depends on the day of the week. Friday and Saturday are very busy and booking a table for those days is also necessary for guests...

I read another review about The Kingham Plough which described it like staying with friends, if I had friends that could cook like this and have the space to put me up I probably wouldn't go home. The room was very homely and had all the comforts you need for an overnight stay. We were in room 1 which was...

We had a really great evening here. The food is fantastic and good value for the quality. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was really comfortable and clean. The service was great and breakfast was really good. The only slight criticism was the atmosphere was a bit quiet. It might have been because it was a Thursday...

very, very slow service - for which we received many apologies but no matter how busy - having to wait 20 mins to just place a first drinks order is a little much. The food we had was lovely but the kids menu is more of a toddlers menu - the 10 year old with us was still hungry and...

We stayed overnight in order to eat at the restaurant (see separate review). There are 6 rooms and we stayed in number 3 on the top floor. Access via narrow stairs. The room itself is fine, small and cosy with twin beds. The bookcases in the rooms are a nice touch, and plenty of good books to read if you...
