Quince Cottage B&B is absolutely wonderful. I came upon it serendipitously during a long distance mountain biking trip when I left the Ridgeway early to find a place to stay for the night. Louise and her husband weren’t expecting anyone for that night, but welcomed me with open arms despite being a late last minute request for a booking. It’s a lovely house and very comfortable space. And I highly recommend dinner at The Greyhound Inn around the corner. But as noted, make sure you reserve at table in advance.

Lovely thatched cottage in a village which reminded me of Midsummer Murders. I had a cosy single room with low beams and a view overlooking the garden. It wasn't en suite, but had a bathroom next to the room. It's not too far off The Ridgeway National Trail. Richard, the owner gave me a lift back in the morning, which was kind of him and much appreciated. If you are eating at The Greyhound, reserve a table. It can get busy as it's the only place to eat. Food was okay, if not a bit pricey.

B+B just a mile off the Ridgeway. Old thatched cottage so the stairs are quite steep and there are high steps into and out of one of the bedrooms. Shared bathroom facilities. Very pleasant and helpful hosts, happy to dry our wet walking gear when we arrived somewhat bedraggled. Great cuppa and cake on arrival, good cooked breakfast, and packed lunch to take out for the next day's hike. Excellent local pub within 3 minutes walk

Many thanks for your review. Just to clarify your bathroom was private for the room you shared with your walking companion. We only take one set of guests at a time now after Covid. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the Ridgeway trail.

Visited with some friends as part of a mountain biking trip. Louise and her husband couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful - even helping us sort out a bike problem with a visit to the local DIY store. Really nice rooms, very comfortable - fell asleep straight away and then a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast the next day. Very generous portions of freshly cooked, high quality food. The local pub in the village was excellent - superb wine and very nice food. We were fortunate to get in at short notice due to some bike issues and a change of plan. Worth booking in advance. All in all a perfect visit and we will definitely be back again on our next trip. A very warm welcome was provided and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!! Thank you

I was the first guest at this B & B in over 15 months due to COVID and what an honour this was! The B & B is inside a lovely thatched cottage in a picturesque part of England close to The Ridgeway. Everything about the stay was nice from the lovely breakfast to the comfortable bed. The hosts were extremely nice and even gave me a lift back to The Ridgeway the next morning. The hosts are currently taking only one party of guests at a time due to COVID and had hand washing facilities at the door.

Beautiful cottage and setting, with a very warm welcome from the hosts and Coco the puppy. Really lovely place to stop after an extremely hot day out on the Ridgeway. Lift back to the trail was much appreciated; great food at the nearby pub; very laid back and comfy place to stay. Highly recommended!

Wonderful in every way! A warm welcome with a much-needed cold drink for this hot and dusty walker. Comfortable room, great bed, very quiet, and a good bathroom - not en-suite but private - with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was lovely, plus a delicious packed lunch - and a very kind lift back up to the Ridgeway - thank you!

What a fantastic, warm home! We stayed at Quince Cottage half way through our long walking weekend. After an exhausting day on the trail we were welcomed with tea and delicious cake, which made us forget how tired we were and chat away with the hosts. We had followed Louise's advise to book the local pub for dinner which turned out a great tip. The following morning's breakfast was perfect and we were ecstatic when Richard offered to give us a lift to the trail (thus saving us good 45min of uphill ahead of another strenuous day. Thank you!

A very comfortable family home with characterful and comfortable rooms. A welcoming bath to recover from the Ridgeway and the local pub had great food to complete the restoration! Louise's breakfast was perfect to get me along the Ridgeway especially as she drove me back to the Ridgeway! .
