Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very welcoming and professional is the best way to talk about our experience. Anna was just lovely, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was really good especially with the garden outlook. Meals are available at night within walking distance and there is a pub over the road (but you need to book in advance for a Sat night).

What a fantastic find, The Laurels is an immaculate, well appointed and comfortable property with off road parking just a 15 -20 minute walk from the town centre. Anna and Graham are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful with a good local knowledge, even offering to produce a map to help with directions for one of our journeys.

The Laurels is as described with lovely hosts (able to cope with coeliac dietary needs), great breakfast, convenient location, good wifi, onsite parking - all at a competitive price. Everything you could possibly need. We will be happy to book when in the area again.

Anna and Graham are wonderful hosts. We have stayed before and will stay again. Their local knowledge is excellent. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice. The room was very accommodating with a comfortable bed and all the facilities you’d require including a fridge. Looking forward to coming again soon. Happy birthday for tomorrow, Graham and enjoy your retirement

This was just an overnight to see friends in Witney - but the ground floor twin bedroom with its own front door was ideal for my elderly Mother who finds stairs a challenge. - Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable beds, - It's not the biggest room I have slept in but was ideal for our needs. - Graham our host was friendly, and the breakfast nicely presented with plenty of choices in a pleasant room overlooking the garden. - Would certainly be happy to recommend The Laurels to anyone looking for a conveniently located Bn B in Witney.

This family run B&B is a really lovely place to stay. I have stayed at The Laurels on a number of occasions but always by myself and I've never stayed for breakfast. This time I stayed with my husband in Room 5. The room has its own rear access and over looks the garden. It's a large tastefully decorated room with a modern en-suite. There is a handy fridge and an exceptionally comfy bed. Lots of choice at breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, warm pastries and whatever combination of traditional English you'd like. The owners are always really friendly and welcoming. At £80 a night the price is very reasonable for the standard of facilities and breakfast. You only have to cross the road to walk in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Me and my partner came to the laurels for a weekend break away. The laurels offered an excellent breakfast with a wide range of food from fresh fruit to pain au chocolates! On the last morning we treated our self to a lovely full English and we didn't have to wait long either! This all definitely set us up for the day. Our room was lovely and fresh we really enjoyed the view of the well maintained garden. The bed was so comfy. Excellent stay!

We didn't know anyone who had been there so were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and light. The couple who run it were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was perfect and all in all we were delighted.
