Beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet rooms in the market town of Oswestry. Walking distance to good restaurants and pubs, awesome place to stay if walking the Offa Dyke or just touring the area. Robert and Melissa are wonderful hosts and prepare a great breakfast! We'd stay again and again if back in the region.

Stayed overnight to break a long journey to our daghters wedding, welcomed on arrival with the offer of a drink. Melissa & Rob couldn’t have been more welcoming. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was superb. The garden is wonderful and so peaceful to sit out in with a lovely wildflower patch. Many drinks were offered and it was more like welcome guests rather than paying guests.

Following a wonderfully friendly welcome from our hosts Rob and Mellissa we were shown to our equally wonderful room. Spotlessly clean and decorated in a manor that was in line with the 'boutique' description of the accommodation. En-suite 'wet room' was outstanding in every way as were the donuts left in the room. An espresso coffee machine along with mini fridge with fresh milk and bottled water, were added bonuses to our stay. The portfolio, in respect to local eateries and pubs etc,. far exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere else. Breakfast the following morning was outstanding and cooked to perfection (black pudding to die for). Fine detailing and presentation was amazing. For our 'one night stay', Rob and Mellissa excelled as the perfect hosts, engaging in…

My friend and I just spent two nights in this delightful guest house. The rooms were large with every amenity, really comfortable beds and lovely big showers. Rob and Melissa were wonderful hosts and Rob drove us to our restaurant on a wet evening. Thank you Melissa for the delicious cakes and thank you to both for being such good company and for lots of chat and laughter. I would recommend this guest house for the ideal place to stay to explore the stunning scenery and for all the comforts of home and more.

Chilton House was a superb find in Oswestry. Very welcoming hosts, Melissa & Rob made sure our stay was as good as you can get. Our room was called ‘Chess’ and had allthe amenities you could want. It was as good as any top hotel. Fridge complimentary water, tea making facilities, and a coffee maker with milk frothier. Plus two pieces of cake. Breakfast was cooked freshly for you, lots of choices. Please book your stay with confidence we can definitely recommend it. Pauline & Tom
