Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just returned from another fabulous relaxing stay at Rectory Farm. Allison and David are the perfect hosts from the moment you set foot in Rectory Farm which is set in an idyllic location with fantastic views of the Shropshire countryside and has lots of walks all around. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished to a very high standard and are scrupulously clean; there is everything you could want, and the beds are very comfortable. Alison serves a feast of a breakfast which is superb. Allison and David made us feel very safe as they are adhering to all of the Covid 19 regulations and social distancing. We have already booked our next visit and can't wait to return.

We loved staying there. David greeted us and shows us "the ropes" (as we were by no means caravan experts). The caravan is situated in a small field within the Rectory Farm grounds and we could park the car in the field. There was a lovely view and especially a bird feeder on the fence where we saw woodpeckers visit, The caravan was comfortable with separate bed and dining area with en-suite loo / shower but we did not use this as there was also access to an external and private loo/shower in a barn by the Rectory building a few steps away. Towels provided. The caravan had a microwave cooker (gas not available due to insurance). Fridge was stocked with milk, orange juice, butter. We chose the continental breakfast and it was authentically continental with 3 nice meat selections. Overall I am so pleased we went here and look to return in the future. We were there for an event in Church Stretton but the the area affords nice walks. Thank you David for hosting us.

From the moment we arrived at Rectory Farm Alison and David offered first class service and nothing was too much trouble. Their home is beautiful, in a stunning location and the views breathtaking. The house is extremely well kept, immaculate and the rooms were very comfortable! Onto the breakfast......with locally sourced ingredients and a great conversation with Alison it was thoroughly enjoyable! Thank you both for helping make our stay so comforting and for the extra support you kindly offered with our car troubles! We will see you again. Many thanks.

Never before have I felt so welcome at a B&B!
Rectory Farm is incredibly beautiful with far reaching spectacular views to be enjoyed from a lovely garden with patio areas and a summerhouse.
But what makes this such a special place is the welcome we received from hosts Alyson and David including an unexpected cream tea!
There was plenty of choice for breakfast, all freshly cooked, using ingredients from local suppliers. We never needed lunch!!!
Our twin bedded room with en-suite was spotless
and I mean SPOTLESS!! In fact, everywhere was spotless!!!
We slept like logs and came away feeling refreshed and relaxed but wishing we had booked longer.
Thank you Alyson and David for sharing your beautiful home with us and your hospitality. We enjoyed every minute of our visit and plan to return.
Oh and the little piece of heaven is tucked away in the corner of the garden. Alyson has the key to unlock it. Intrigued?? Book a stay, see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed I promise!

Whether you are in this area of the pretty Shropshire countryside for walking, cycling or Shrewsbury's Folk Festival, Rectory Farm is the place to base yourself. The warm welcome from Allison & David starts with tea and cake and stunning rural views from their patio. The accommodation is spacious and immaculately maintained. And the breakfasts, enthusiastically served by the ever cheery Allison, are delicious and substantial; most of the products are locally sourced. You will be set up for the day, whatever you're planning to do!

The architecture and decor of this fabulous old farm house is quite breathtaking and must rate as one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed. The views over towards the Shropshire plain towards the Staffordshire Peaks is outstanding. All amenities are of the highest quality, hospitality top notch. If there was ever Michelin stars for B&B's, this would be right up there. Wow!!

We have stayed at Rectory Farm several times over the years and it really is the best B&B we know. Allison is the perfect host - whenever we arrive we are welcomed with tea and cakes and greeted like old friends. The house is immaculate, beautifully furnished with antiques, the breakfasts superb and nothing is too much trouble for Allison. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Allison and David for your 5 star hospitality!

My husband and I stayed overnight at Rectory Farm on a cycling break.
We were overwhelmed by the beautiful surroundings and how peaceful it was.
To top it all off the building is stunning and the room was gorgeous.
Everything was in keeping with the age of the building and the hosts could not have done anymore to make us feel welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble and Alison truly was a wonderful host.
Breakfast was fabulous and the locally sourced produce was delicious.
We will most definitely be returning very soon.
In fact we were reluctant to right a review as we selfishly wanted to keep this gem a secret!
