Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been a few times for food. Always amazing. The staff are so personable and attentive, the food is amazing.. from dinners, to Sunday roast, and dessert.. we couldn’t fault it. Lovely atmosphere and they will go the extra mile. I highly rate a meal here and an amazing Sunday roast too! I’ll be continuing to support this local business and grateful of their gluten free options!

We used the Restaurant for a big family Christmas meal with 9 of us and were given a beautiful wood lined dining room. The food, service and staff were all amazing and we had a wonderful evening. Recommended

First time here for our Christmas bash. 31 guests in total. What a lovely, superb venue. The service by all the guys was brilliant & they were all very attentive under the stresses of a big party. Now into the food. The starters were all served quickly , together & piping hot. All the main courses were also brought out together, were hot & thoroughly delicious. I was surprised that there were only 2 chefs in the kitchen which is a credit to how superb this establishment is run. I spoke to the manager & asked him to pass my comments onto all the team members. You should all be proud of a wonderful job done. Great vibe but would we visit again…hell yeah. Thank you so much.

Really friendly and quirky hotel, situated with easy walking distance to Bridgwater centre. The room was comfortable and had good facilities, including being able to connect Netflix account to TV. Excellent food in the restaurant. Only note of caution - the car park is very small and accessible only via a narrow entryway.

The hotel was clean and friendly the food was excellent and they catered for all the different dietary requirements we as a group had. The only issue was the car park. We had a long vehicle so entering the car park backwards was interesting. But we were told in advance.

Stayed room 3 first night. All quiet. Lovely room 5 second night, cupboard door opened by itself followed by a loud creaking floorboard right in front of me. During the night was woken uo and heard the sound of something dragging across the floor. Sad to say the bed was too comfy and went straight back to sleep. Connor the enthusiastic barman is a credit to the hotel, lovely chatting to him, be a great hotel manager one day. Really enjoyed my stay, as I said the beds were extremely comfortable and the the rooms and public areas full of character. I will have to return to discover more, definitely haunted and full of history. If only the walls could talk.
