Property's Favourite Review
We're just coming to the end of our 7 night half-term stay in the Roe Deer lodge, and we've had an absolutely brilliant time. The lodge has tardis qualities, in that while looking normal-size from the outside, it's enormous once you get inside. The split level design and sunken kitchen feels quite quirky, and the master bedroom is massive, with the added addition of a big walk-in wardrobe and dressing room. It's furnished to a really high standard and feels like a proper home from home. The decking area is huge, hot tub is big enough to easily fit the 3 of us, and the Brucie Bonus was an EV charger for the car. Views across the rolling hills and down towards the estuary are lovely, and there are lots of nice dog walks on your doorstep. The enclosed dog walking area was also an unexpected but brilliant surprise. There are also loads of towels, including a big bag full of ones for the hot tub, and that's not something you usually get. We arrived 2 hours later than planned because the M5 was closed, yet the owners stayed behind to welcome us, which was a nice personal touch. If I was being ultra-critical, then it would've been nice to have some actual glass glasses and not plastic, but I understand why they're used. As a family rule, we don't ever visit the same place twice, so while we won't come back here, we absolutely would. No hesitation at all. It's ticked every box for us, and we're heading home fully refreshed.

We received a warm welcome from Claire on our arrival and we were shown to the Hedgehog Lodge (the newest lodge on site) which was luxurious and kitted out really nicely. We were also shown how to work the hot tub. (Our first time with a hot tub and it was awesome!).
The lodge is well furnished with smart TVs, super king size bed and full kitchen amenities - including the lovely touch of a welcome hamper.
The Hedgehog Lodge is set away from the other lodges and is ideal of an romantic
get away. The decking area looks out onto trees and fields where we were lucky to see wild deer as well as birds of prey. Henfields is a 15 minute walk into the village of Cannington where you can find pubs, a Spa shop, butchers and bakers. We found the location great as a base to explore North Somerset - Blue Anchor, Kilve beach, Burnham on Sea, Audries bay etc.
Also within a few minutes drive there were lots of lovely places to eat (there are some great recommendations in the welcome pack). We stayed for a week and still had things we wanted to do.
We definitely hope to return one day.

My wife and I stayed here in early September and had a simply perfect time. We stayed in the Otters View Lodge and can not fault the cleanliness or quality of the lodge, the location is quiet and feels like your miles from anywhere even though it is less than a mile walk into the local village. The reception staff were welcoming, informative and very covid aware and you felt that they genuinely care about the site and their guests.
We will definitely return to Henfields and have now placed it top of our list of places to stay in the UK.

After the hectic Christmas period, we needed a place to escape and relax. We found this place and stayed for four nights.
Really quiet, beautiful location and well furbished.
We like doing these lodge breaks at about this time each year and we were very impressed by Henfields.
The lodge was well designed and had that modern yet cosy feel (even though it was actually quite spacious). The main bedroom was huge with a walk in wardrobe.
Unlike a lot of other places we've stayed, the lodge was well stocked with the essentials (washing powder, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper) rather than a token gesture (or none) that we'd grown used to which was very nice.
I know that a lot of people might chose to be away from all IT for breaks but we like our TV and the wifi here was very good and reliable - so with the Smart TV, we were able to enjoy nice dinners, hot tub (which was very generous in size!) and Netflix over the New Year!
All in all, we had a great time here - the staff were very friendly whenever we met them but given there just wasn't anything wrong with the lodge we had very little need to call them in truth. We'd love to come back again in the future!

This is a perfect site and the lodges are luxurious in evey way. Every little touch is covered which shows they have really thought about things. Wifi is great and it was nice to have Netflix available. Stayed in Stoat Lodge and just wow. What a lovely lodge. Huge decking area with a great hot tub. Rooms all huge. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and take the time to talk to you. Even offered us an early check in time. Wow! . No other place offers that. Site is beautiful and lots of walks. 10/15 min walk into town to places to eat but some do offer take away delivery to your lodges.
Nice quiet retreat and wonderful service! Thank you all at Henfields! We will be back.!

We’ve just returned from a lovely week at Henfields County Retreat. The lodge was immaculately clean and the kitchen has all of the essentials although a few things have been removed due to Covid restrictions. The welcome pack was well received (especially the cookies) and the treats etc provided for our dog made her feel very welcome. We made good use of the hot tub and even managed an hour or two chilling on the loungers despite the poor weather. The robes and towels for use after the hot tub were a great addition and not always provided in lodges such as this. Thank you for a great stay.

Greeted with a warm welcome from Claire when checking in. The accommodation had a welcome pack on arrival and is modern and spotlessly clean. Everything you could need is supplied, even a dishwasher, washing machine and wifi, and there is a bbq area too (please note this is for disposable bbq's only) very much home from home. The patio area is fenced off which is great as this lodge allows dogs so they or small children can't wander off while you are relaxing in the hot tub. Plenty of fields to walk the dog too. The friendly staff are always on hand to answer any questions or querys.

FANTASTIC! could not recommend this place highly enough. We enjoyed a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. The lodges are finished to a high standard and the hot tub is one of the highlights! The views from our lodge were stunning and the location was perfect for getting to many different walks and national trust places. We enjoyed excellent food and drink in the local area and relaxing in the hot tub topped everything off. We will definitely be returning and thank you to the staff who were very helpful.

We stayed here for 3 days after christmas after getting a good deal on the ho seasons website.
The site was easy to find and the reception greeting warm and welcoming. We were shown to our lodge, Rabbits Warren. It was perfect for the two of us, plenty of space and everything you could need was thought of. We really liked the welcome hamper, little touches like this add to the feeling of a valued guest. The lodge was immaculate, it felt still brand new and the decor was just to our taste. We made good use of the fabulous hot tub and did some walking around the local area, we came for a chilled break after christmas and we definately got what we were after! The site is very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this site and hope to return soon.

Returned from a weekend and could not fault. A warm and welcome greeting upon arrival where there was a welcome hamper in our hut along with a walk around from the owner explaining everything we needed to know. The location is lovely and quite making it so much easier to relax and enjoy. The pod was immaculate smelt and looked brand new. Will be returning when next in the area

We provide white cotton robes for all guests.
Our hot tubs are all positioned for guest privacy. We don't provide an overhead hot tub cover as most guests want to watch the Milky Way wheel overhead.
All the hot tubs at Henfields are 'sunken'. The hot tub at Rabbit Warren is on the higher level of a split level deck/patio/garden, so you look down from the tub on to the patio/garden. And its' totally private.
Hi
Yes there no problems getting deliveries. Just be aware most deliveries will be from Bridgewater because that is where the majority of resuarants are.
There a couple of local places in Cannington especially the Indian which is off the charts.
Please note if you do have dogs takeaway will be the best discision as the owner Mein Fuhrer does not like you to leave your fur babies on their own. Other than that the lodge and area fantastic
It's a new road not on Google yet.
