Went here for lunch with friends. Service terrible, food even worse - stingy portions prepared with little or no thought. Staff very disinterested, with no personality. Restaurant tables dirty. Would we return? - not in a million years!!

Stopped here for Sunday lunch as the sign said it was Motorhome friendly and it certainly was. Also dog friendly, child friendly and the service and food were great. One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. Will visit again !

Sad to condemn a local business but its terrible. We had a guest stay this week as we like to support the local businesses. The room / accommodation is awful. Very very dirty including sheets. Various stains on varying surfaces. Breakfast from 7am - the problem being nobody around to cook or serve it! Shower is a dribble, beds very...

We had our wedding reception here. Lovely staff. Great service. The buffet was brilliant. We were able to set up the tables the night before. Everyone commented on how relaxed it was and everyone made welcome. There was plenty of parking and the kids loved being able to use the play area outside. Would go back again.

We visited the Star inn this evening for a family meal. The interior is luxurious and modern, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding! Defiantly worth a visit, and I would highly recommend the warm bake well tart!!

Very local to us, and use occasionally for lunch. The current owners have greatly improved the décor, and present a reasonably varied menu with well cooked food and friendly service. However, a visit to the gents toilet showed that this area had been neglected. Cracked wall tiles, rusty basin plughole with no plug, sealant required between basin & wall, and...

I've been here with a friend for lunch. The location is really nice, in the countryside but not far from the motorway. The place is run as a family business, and the staff were really kind. The menu doesn't have a lot of choice, but is seasonal. I ordered liver and bacon and it was really good. The food was...

Visited with my friend this Wednesday evening, arrived to a warm cosy ambiance. Food was excellent, wonderfully presented, good wine. Would definitely recommend this place. During November they are doing buy one main course on their pub classics, get the second half price! Will be back 😊
