Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We travelled around Cornwall/Devon for 2 weeks in an hired Motorhome, all to see if we enjoy this type of travelling for a future potential purchase of our own. To be honest we didn’t enjoy the sites we tried all except this one. If they could all be like this one, then our trip would have been another memory. Exe valley was quaint, quiet and beautiful. Facilities were the nicest and cleanest we came across. Shame the pub opposite was not our type of venue.. Little shop on site came in handy

We stayed with a friend who was new to Motorhome life at the Exe Valley caravan site the first weekend in September. A beautiful site between the Exe and a mill stream. Very friendly welcome and immaculately clean facilities. The whole site is extremely well looked after and the Badgers Holt Pub across the road was welcoming and served excellent food, it also covers vegetarian and vegan. On Saturday afternoon one of our dogs picked up an injury that required a vet. The receptionist phoned the local vet who met us at The local surgery an hour later and the dog received 3 staples in the cut, was given antibiotics and a pain killer plus 7 days supplies. All of this was far cheaper that we would pay our vet for a similar service. A lovely few days and we will be back.

A beautifully kept, peaceful site with excellent facilities. Very good-sized pitches and a fabulous off lead dog area. Had only booked one night but stayed an extra one. Great little shop and information room, and the stem ginger ice cream is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we will come back for certain.

This site is definitely a little gem. Not an easy place to get too. But if you follow the directions on their website you won’t go wrong. Very helpful warden’s. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

From start to finish, a fab stay at a beautiful site. Pitches are mixed grass and hard standing but all beautifully kept. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. Many walks directly from the site and a village pub within 100 yards - you need to book a table for food as it’s very popular. The shop is well stocked and good prices too. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back again.

Fantastic site in a wonderful location. There’s a river alongside the pitches which is great for a paddle and even a swim in the deeper bits. Great dog walk area on the site and plenty of walks directly from the site. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and there’s an information she’d full of maps, walking routes and other useful things. Highly recommended

We’ve visited the coastal area around north Devon quite a few times so fancied a site more inland. My partner loved the available fishing on site It’s very pretty with the river on one side and mill stream on the other. The best dog exercise area on any site we’ve visited. It’s kept immaculately and all facilities available including dog wash and shop. We loved our 6 nights stay but cut short by one night because of the weather. Peaceful and adult only if that’s your preference. Definitely recommend this tranquil site Annie and Paul from Oxfordshire with our caravan and spaniel

We had a lovely time at Exe Valley. Such a beautiful site and very well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. Our dog had a great time, too, playing in the river! We are already looking forward to next year! Thank you, Exe Valley!
