Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On arrival staff were so helpful and friendly, we explained we would be early mornings and late evenings due to being balloonists down for Longleat weekend. The room was lovely and clean, no noise from pub downstairs only downside we didn’t have time for a drink in the bar as it looked great and fab atmosphere. Breakfast was included however due to ballooning we didn’t think we could have any due to timings however we were offered bacon and sausage sandwiches could be made for our return, however Sunday morning flights were cancelled and we were asked if we wanted breakfast after all and we are so glad we did it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and so welcoming, really enjoyed our stay.

Room was fantastic and the breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife could not attend and I tried contact the hotel of the issue and change to a single room but the phones did not work for three days before our visit because of a change in telephone provider. They refused to change the booking so I had to pay for two people. To add insult to injury the wireless in my room did not work.

Stayed for 2 nights as a base as visiting longleat and Bath. We booked a family room for 5 and were pleasantly surprised on arrival that the room was split in 2 meaning we could settle the kids in their half and close the door over so we had our own space. First class concept for a family room booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, comfy beds, great quality bedding and towels. Great breakfast and staff very friendly and helpful, great with the kids. The hotel is a little dated and shabby in places but there was so many other positives it wasn't an issue and great value for money. Unfortunately due to staff issues there was no evening meals but no issue as they recommended plenty of options within walking distance..

We paid on arrival once paid was told there is no cooked breakfast only fruit and yoghurt! This hotel is dreadful, our room number 7 was outdated dark uncomfortable, nothing like the pictures on the internet and certainly not a superior like stated! We had spent a long day at longleat safari and was looking forward to getting back to the cornerhouse, to have a meal a couple of drinks and rest, not only was there No breakfast there was also No evening meal. Once you walk down hill into Frome on a Monday you will find no where open for food!!! To walk back up a very steep hill to hell! Staff were okay we did get a free drink in a filthy glass and £20 back for the inconvenience. We still paid £80 for something that wasn’t worth 50. AVOID

Located near railway station mainly uphill around 1km walk We were given room at top of the building on 3rd floor with access by narrow staircases and 2 x 23kg cases was no fun The room was small like a box with small queen size / large single bed for 2 people which creaked with every movement It had a good shower Downstairs was a bar opened at 4pm Parking was available with ticket showing your staying there Check out was 10am where we were allowed to leave our cases for 2 hours Full english Breakfast was good Located next to a very busy roundabout on the top of a hill No evening meal was available
