We highly recommend this B&B to anyone who would like to visit the area. We stayed in the annexe for two nights last weekend. The host family Joy and Alan are wonderful hosts and the location is superb for visiting Longleat Safari Park. The view from the room was stunning. Joy and Allan provided us with delicious full English breakfast...

Joy & Alan are wonderful and friendly hosts. This is our second time to stay at the Windwistle Cottage with Joy & Alan. We spent 3 nights with them in September 2015. They are the most accommodating hosts. The breakfast is to die for, a good proper English breakfast. Both of the rooms at Windwistle Cottage are very comfortable. There...

We stayed in the annexe for 2 nights with our 3 year old when visiting Longleat Safari Park and couldn't have asked for more! The owners, Alan and Joy, are very friendly and helpful; Joy provided us with the most delicious home-baked goodies and a very well stocked fridge! Second visit last weekend, came a few years ago and have been looking forward to coming back ever since! We stayed in the annexe both times, which is just so absolutely lovely, like a little flat. It's spacious, with views at the back of the fields with the animals in, and bird tables right outside the window. Another window at...

Comfortable and cosy annex (with own entrance), perfect for families. Parked car right outside the room. Husband was pleased - 3G signal was good. A mini kitchenette in the room with microwave, fridge, sink and kettle, plus homemade biscuits to tuck into. Separate shower room. Quiet with a peaceful countryside view - and, despite the name, no sound of the...

Joy and Alan make you feel at home straight away. When I arrived I was offered tea and a selection of homemade cakes, in the sitting room, which was full of people who turned out to be the other guests. My room was quiet and comfortable, with a separate entrance , more homemade shortbread, a good selection of teas, lots...
