What a great place. Amazing atmosphere and so very friendly. The food was incredible as was the hospitality. If you are heading down to Cornwall or Devon and want a stop off then do not hesitate to book this place. The bath in the pottery room was an added bonus. 5* all the way.

We couldn't book to stay at 5 dails as they were fully booked. So we stayed at Travelodge 🥺. First thought was to ask Sarah if she could feed us breakfast for the week. We had stayed previously so knew how good their breakfast were. She thankfully obliged, and fed us Sunday lunch to. Will try and book here next time we come over. Such a great place to stay.

We were welcomed in and offered a choice of tables - we chose to sit in the garden, but there are also more covered outdoor seats at the front of the inn, if you want to sit outside and it's raining. The staff were extremely lovely, friendly, and helpful and the food was good. We had cod and chips, and mushroom tagliatelle and can recommend both. It was a lovely place to stop off for lunch on our way to our holiday cottage and we'll probably come back here to eat this week.

We enjoyed a one night stay at the 5 Dials. The proprietors were very welcoming. COVID rules were fully adhered to, and they made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Dinner was great - really filling and good atmosphere. Breakfast was well presented and the room was good.

With Christmas looking more and more uncertain we decided to travel halfway to where our friends lived and support an independent business. Coincidently, they did the same. The welcome by Sarah was lovely as she showed us to our room and explained how they were complying with the Covid-19 guidelines. Our room was perfect for our needs, comfortable, clean and warm. Sarah had reserved us a table in the restaurant for dinner, which was amazing. The food was perfectly cooked, tasty and excellent quality, delivered with a friendly smile from Sarah or her amazing small team. I can heartily recommend Simon's Steak and Otter pie and the blue cheese and walnut salad was sublime.. Breakfast could be taken in the room, but we decided to eat in the bar, having pre-ordered the previous evening. Again the quality was amazing and being something of a sausage snob, these are amongst the best I've had, large, thick and meaty. Delicious!! We will definitely be staying at Five Dials again. Thank you Sarah and the team
