Had a great experience at Sparkhayes as the only campers on a freezing cold January night. Greeted in person by Phil who made staying there a breeze. Couldn't be better placed in the heart of charming Porlock. Pitch stayed relatively dry and certainly not waterlogged given the torrential rain we had just in the evening.

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. Being September it was quiet, dozen or so tents and Motorhomes. Fairly basic, 2 Showers, 4 Toilet cubicles in the Men's area ( can't speak for the ladies side) Nice little communal area with some comfy seating and 2 picnic benches out front of the Block. Chem toilet, laundry and Washup area.Dog friendly....

I try to stay here at least twice a year. This is by far the most friendly and convenient campsite in Somerset. My trips usually consist of 3 to 4 nights stay, with a warm welcome from the owner, and an even warmer welcome from the local pub, with its delicious menu, and relaxed atmosphere. I usually travel light on...

This campsite is great. Lovely views, toilets and showers are good and cleaned twice a day. Access to fridges and kettle was very useful. Very reasonably priced. Choose your own pitch, which gave us lots of space but I wonder if this would be the case in the height of summer. Will definitely stay again!

Decided to stay at this site as it was near the South west coast path, I can see why it is popular as the views are beautiful. No allocated pitches, you go where you want...not normally my thing but worked good for us on our stay. The owner was pleasant enough. Do not expect the works, this is a basic...

Lovely campsite with lovely views. Very friendly too - people were incredibly sociable and a lovely walk down to the coast. Plenty of space and no need to book. A really lovely place to relax. Seems very child friendly too.

I have just returned from camping here for a week, with four teenagers a friend and a dog. We had a great time. Charge per person, so my son pitched his own little tent, with a gazeebo between us all. BBqs allowed as long as you don't burn the grass, loads of space for football, kite flying and badminton. The showers...

We visited this campsite after our first day of walking the SW Coast Path and very much enjoyed our stay. There was no pre-booking required, and we were greeted on arrival and told we could chose where we pitched our little two man tent. The facilities were all that we required - clean toilets and ample space for washing up...

Upon arrival to this campsite, we were greeted by the owner and told that we could choose any pitch we liked, which was very generous indeed! We soon realised that there were no specific borders around the pitches either, which meant we had access to as much space as we needed in order to pitch our 6 man tent. Throughout...
