What can I say about this AMAZING place? The best we have ever stayed at and loved every second. We were worried about staying for 6 nights with our 2 year old but our fears were laid to rest upon arrival with the wonderful welcome and being put in a family room. Chris and Louise were brilliant and so understanding that our daughter doesn't sit still much! An incredibly peaceful night sleep on all 6 nights and as for he breakfast...just wow! I will never have bavin as good as that again! I cant praise this place enough and cant wait to visit again in the future. Thankyou for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.
We had a lovely week long stay in this self catering cottage Very clean, nicely furnished, dog friendly. Quiet and tucked away but close to shops ...and a great little gallery by a church. Owners lovely and thoughtful. Highly recommeded They manufacture Miles tea in the village.. fantastic teas and coffee. So I bought 720 bags!
Just returned from a wonderful 2 nights stay at the Gables, it’s steeped in history and lives up to what you’d expect from a well run b&b. Louise and Chris were really helpful, offering ideas of where to travel, including local attractions too. The room was great, very comfortable king bed (which we love and sometimes hard to find!). And the breakfast was great with locally sourced full English produce, great to start your day with. Thank you Louise and Chris
We've just come back from a lovely break in Porlock and can only support the other reviews. It would be hard to fault this B and B. The hosts are lovely, welcoming and helpful, though not obtrusive and the house is beautiful. Everything seems to have been thought about for guests' convenience (and their child/ren and dog!). Beds were comfortable and the room spacious including a roomy bathroom. The wifi was good enough for me to work while we were there and there's a lovely garden and small guest sitting room. Breakfast was particularly good (though it didn't prevent us from enjoying some of the many cafes and pubs which also welcome dogs in porlock. Really relaxing stay!
A return visit after 3 years and we booked the Garden Room for our family of 4. We were superbly hosted and looked after. The room (was actually two) was very generous and beautifully cleaned. The breakfast was excellent - as was three years ago - a light and airy breakfast room , hot food to order and a nice cheery conversation with our host. Definitely be coming back ! Thank you.
