Booked for a family (triple room). Arrived around 8pm on a Thursday night - very close to the A303 so easy to find without sat nav. Plenty of free parking.
Welcoming reception and the lift was handy as we were on the 1st floor. Room was set up as one double bed with two single beds but room still had plenty of space. Room was very clean as was the bathroom. Towels and bedding good quality.
1min walk from a pub that is on the same complex and 2 mins drive from a large Morrisons if you want a hot breakfast.
Despite it being on the A303 there was zero traffic noise. All in all great stay at an excellent price.

We lived locally and used this Travelodge on a couple of occasions due to a house move. Booked online in advance of stay and all worked very well, nice to be expected by reception on arrival.

Good location for eating out and fast food outlets. Choice of KFC and McDonalds within walking distance out of the hotel. The Wagtail pub is next door and provides a good varied menu with plenty on the plate. Good parking.

Room was a standard Travelodge - clean and in good order. On arrival the curtains were closed and the room fan was going to keep the room cool in the warm weather - great idea.

Hotel met our requirements for a one night stay.

stayed here for two nights as we could not get booked anywhere else, would never ever stay in a Travelodge again. There is a massive housekeeping problem here, our first room had dirty cups, obviously not put through a dishwasher as the dirty stains wiped off easy, place felt unkempt and I had to buy wipes to clean everything and I worried the whole time, we had to stay away unfortunately as we had an urgent appointment. we were showed to another room on the ground floor and as soon as we got in there I noticed dirty stains on the bathroom floor, I moved my foot over and realised it was stale vomit and it moved and chipped away, I also noticed stains on the curtains which was old vomit and there were two used toilet rolls hanging on the toilet roll hanger. I was so disgusted I felt sick, I was so concerned as to the virus as well and thought we may definitely pick it up as the place had not been cleaned, I showed the person in charge and he noted all of this and told us there was a housekeeping problem. he had another room for us which I asked him to disinfect firstly, we then went and brought more antibacterial wipe for the new room and proceeded to clean it as this one did not feel very clean either, it was a disabled room and under the seat in the bathroom looked filthy and also around the bottom of shower on the wall. I was so so disgusted. Two men in charge were very very pleasant and I felt so sorry for them, this is clearly a management problem from higher up. Travelodge managers you should be ashamed, clearly your staff are not trained to a high cleaning standard, especially with this pandemic!!!!!! we were truly shocked.

Reception was freezing. No info given as to any bar, cafe or refreshments. The Breakfast box was laughable. Containing a tub of cornflakes, a fruit muffin, orange juice and some milk. A kid of 5 could eat 2 and still be hungry. The Supervisor on duty next day was bored with her response and talked in a bored monitone. As if she was just going through the motions. No alternative was offered for the crappy breakfast box or anything else. Wifi Didn't stay connected and the tv channels had no subtitles and no way to switch them on.

We stayed for one night on our way to Cornwall.

The room was clean enough however the bathroom did smell of urine. I took my own dettol spray beacuse of covid so just gave it all a quick spritz. Beddin was clean and overall room was tidy.

However the room was too hot. We couldn't sleep all night. To the point that my daughters asthma flared up and she had a full on attack.

The guest in the room above were making alot of noise until 2 am.

Overall I would not stay again.

Not sure if we will use a travelodge in the future. Due to everyone being on holiday in this country the room really wasn't value for money.

We had a couple of issues with our room although we didn't feel strongly enough to complain given the intense heat outside. We were grateful for a fan in the room although it was rather noisy so we had to switch it off overnight.

We had requested a travel cot but didn't get one. We could have complained to get one but instead chose to have a bit more floor space in our tiny room. We had no body wash / shampoo in the dispenser but chose to use handsoap instead. Again we didn't complain but surely these things should be checked?

There needs to be more attention to detail. We're falling out with the Travelodge chain I'm afraid.

When we arrived at Wincanton Friday 31st March 23. I realised I had booked the wrong dates for our stay for 2 rooms. The receptionist (I think her name was Anna) was amazing very kind, she went & prepared 2 family rooms & advised me who to contact so that my details appeared on her computer. We had had a terrible wet journey from London but Anna was excellent reassuring while I was in panic mode. A great big thank you to her. A great asset to Travelodge. Many Thanks.
Ann John & all the grandchildren.

We had to make an urgent visit to Wincanton to see a sick relative and di not want to inconvenience them by staying at their home.We were told of the Travelodge and I booked online and got the last remaining room. It was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was really well designed. We discovered an electric fan in room which was well used during our stay, as the weather was hot and sunny.I would definately use them again.

Answer from Wincanton T
Yes, we do have limited parking on site, there's is often enough, but if it is full, you can also park overnight in the street outside or the car park of The Wagtail pub next door.
