We stayed overnight but had enough time to look round the area, it is not totally remote but the narrow lanes give it a feel of isolation. We were made very welcome with home made biscuits and tea. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was full of local produce if not made on site then from a neighbours farm or Mill.

Tucked away in beautiful countryside, we had a wonderful stay at Brookhouse. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, and Ian and Victoria very considerate hosts. A great base for seeing the surrounding countryside. I highly recommend, and hope to come back one day.

We had a lovely time at Brookhouse. The hosts Ian and Vicki were so kind and welcoming. We felt very much at home in their beautiful house. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. We relaxed in the garden and didn't want to leave! We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

The hosts are warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was scrumptious with some locally grown produce. Location very pleasant with interesting geology. Beware of country roads and mad local drivers! Mind you, this is the case wherever you stay ........

We had a wonderful stay at Brookhouse whilst attending a wedding locally. Ian and Vicky are fantastic hosts - very relaxed and unobtrusive but also really interesting to talk to. We had one of the best breakfasts I have ever had with gluten-free bread and oat milk for me (as I can’t eat dairy or gluten). After breakfast Vicky gave us some great tips for a couple of short walks from the house. Thank you both very much for your kind hospitality!
