We stayed in a deluxe room at thd Mitre Hotel on Thursday night 14 March. The hotel dates back to 1675 and our room looked onto the River Thames with a great view. We booked a room the week before as we wanted to visit Hampton Court which is literally across the road from the

Food for dinner and again for breakfast was excellent. Throughout, the young staff members - on the telephone or in person - were delightful and effective. Our suite of rooms, like the dining-room, and also the breakfast room above it, all had wonderful views of the river

What is the best way to get to the hotel from London Heathrow? Thanks
Hi there ,you could go by train from terminal 5 ,it takes about 2 hours but the station is opposite the hotel in Hampton court.alternatively if you take a taxi it will be a lot quicker ,may be half hour in total but more expensive .enjoy your trip👍

The website says rooms have air conditioning, but by the reviews it looks like that is not true. Do the windows open?
It had air in until a couple of years ago when I came under new ownership and it was removed

If you cannot park at the hotel where do you park
Hello, Probably a longer answer than you anticipated, but here goes: We stayed at the Mitre last August, when it was (apparently) under different management-so here's hoping the policy regarding parking for the hotel is the same. First, the hotel has a few-less than 10-parking spaces it owns; these are directly in front of the hotel and were filled most of the time we stayed there. Second, there are also metered spaces in front of the hotel, not owned by the hotel but by the town. In addition to being metered, they are also time-limited. In other words, you can't park at these spaces for an extended period of time. i can't remember the limit, but the hotel should know. Third, the hotel recommended that we park at the train staition, which is a relatively short walk; you have to pay to park there also. I'd recommend giving the hotel a call first to see if things have changed since we stayed there last September.
