Yes I understand that the Government are wanting hotels to close, but they also said that rooms would be available for key workers. Not in the case of travel lodge! 9 key workers who had booked and paid for accommodation were told at midday that the hotel was closing and they had to be out by 5pm!!!!!

I’d done a fair amount of research for my weeks sightseeing trip to London. I refuse to pay city centre prices when travelling alone as I’m in the room only to sleep & shower. This lodge fitted the bill exactly. It is 30 minutes train journey to Waterloo and there is a wealth of decent bars and nice restaurants within 5 minutes. The Thames river walk is 5 minutes away and great to explore locally with walks into Richmond or Twickenham and Hampton Court Palace can be walked in less than 30 minutes. The lodge itself was a bit tired, especially the carpets and chair in the room. However, it was clean and warm. Having paid less than £40 per night with an easy half hour train journey into the capital, it was an ideal base to explore. The evening trains back to Kingston (from Waterloo platform 5) are regular, clean, near empty and really safe.…

Friendly and welcoming staff. Was only staying for one night but very comfortable and exactly what I needed. Will definitely be staying again, area is relatively quiet considering how close it is to everything.

Recently spent the weekend in Kingston and stayed in this hotel while visiting. Staff were friendly at all times. Rooms were quiet and comfortable for the price. Upon arrival I required a travel cot for my son and staff member Bianca kindly arranged for it to be brought up to the room. Would stay there again.
