We stayed for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago, for a friend's party in the nearby golf club. We had an evening flight so checked in just after 9pm and were warmly welcome at the bar and shown straight to our room. The room was great, we liked the quirky decor and it was warm and comfortable. We went straight back down to the bar as they were serving food until 10pm. My husband had their fish and chips and rated it highly delicious. The bar staff were very friendly and easy going, and we enjoyed a couple of drinks before bed. Beds were very comfy too. The room was well equipped with everything we needed including tea and coffee and hairdryer. We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub despite being above the outdoor seating area. Next day we were able to walk into Kingston and spent the day reacquainting myself with the town I had grown up and gone to Uni in, many years ago. The pub is almost opposite Hampton Wick station so it was very handy for connecting in and back to London. Would highly recommend a stay here - if we were here again we would try and fit in a visit to the Indian restaurant right across the road!

Without doubt the best Sunday lunch I can remember having. The beef was amazing and the vegetables so tasty and fresh. Lots of gravy and beautiful Yorkshire puddings. Highly highly recommend. Cannot wait to visit again.

We stayed for 2 nights after going to a concert at Hampton Court. The rooms are a bit cramped but comfy and we were only sleeping & showering so it wasn't too bad. The décor is quirky and fun, reflecting the name of the hotel with antler decorations. Bathroom was tiny but nicely put together with bare brick walls. Only gripe is that I found the shower cubicle uncomfortable to stand in - not sure what was wrong - perhaps the shower head was either too low or too big for the space. But I'm being picky. Overall, it was a very good stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a drink in the bar later in the evening when all the other bars in the area were closed. I would definitely stay there again if I go to Hampton Court!

This is the e-mail I sent directly after our stay, but unfortunately still have had no reply.

Hello,

We stayed with you last night in room 3 and unfortunately, it did not live up to the promise of your web site.

On the positive, the bed was comfortable if a little soft, the rooms is bright and airy and the bathroom is well stocked with nice products.

Unfortunately, on the negative you really need to get someone in there to look at how it is laid out. When we arrived the bed was shoved up against the wall, there are no bedside tables or reading lamps; the over head lights despite being on a dimmer do not dim. There is a luggage stand which is completely unnecessary you have the window seat which has no cushions on it so luggage could easily be put there. There is no shelf to put things on, may I suggest you put something on the wall over the radiator under the TV. The pillows and duvet were not the promised goose down and your bed linen was a bit prickly, and gave the impression of not being particularly high quality. We were also missing the Twining’s Tea, Nespresso Coffee, straighteners, iron and the 40 inch TV.

You have a great product and you are in a superb location and have a stunning web site, but you really need to make sure all of your rooms live up to the promise it makes.

I am afraid that despite the location I really find it hard to believe we were charged £120.00 for the room about half of that would have been fair.

I am sending this directly to you to give you a chance to reply before I do a Trip Advisor review warning people not to accept room 3.

Kind regards

Lady at the pub was very nice and helpful , she seemed rushed off her feet . She checked us into our room and then took our order in the restaurant. Her service was first class and the food was really good too.
The room however was disappointing, dusty carpet on the floor and walls !
The bed was spotless with clean linen.
There was thick dust on the window sill and the material on the ceiling filled with cobwebs. An asthmatics nightmare so I loaded up with plenty of anti histamine and lots of inhaler to make it through the night. Be warned if you are sensitive to dust because there is plenty here.
The bath room was very clean with fresh towels .

After a hot, long, but lovely day at Hampton Court flower show, we needed looking after. The Forrester Arms certainly did that. We received an exceptional warm welcome and recommend drinks to cool us down. The elderflower and lemonade hit the spot perfectly.
Suggestions were made with the menu, being gluten free was not a problem, there was lots of choice. We nibbled on Tempura vegetables, they were so light and tasty.
This was followed by Fish and chips. Oh my, home cooked chips and the lightest fish batter I have ever had.
Amazing, will certainly go back before we go home.
Thank you for looking after us, we were very weary but very happy. X

Stayed here with my daughter. Such a charming little spot! The room was small but adequate. The owner was very nice and showed us to our room..the room really had a cool feel to it brick walls and carpet on the other! I can only assume this was to help keep it nice and quiet in that you are over a pub!
We also ate at the restaurant downstairs it was delicious!!
My only complaint was I was unable to get the WiFi to work...he had told us to ring him up if there was any problem but just didn’t want to bother him...we made do.
Would I go back to this place? You bet it was a lovely place in a really nice little village!

This is a great bar with excellent food, drink and super staff. Lovely local ambiance and easy access to the city with the train across the road.
Excellent barfood, it's very well supported so book if you are hungry.

This is a lovely little pub without the blare of about five televisions, awful music and raucous patrons. They put seats outside so you can go out there and sit in the summer sun until quite late. Seats face south/west.

The little restaurant is good. I’ve eaten there a few times and in the winter it’s cosy and warm with decent food. The best thing for me is their Leffe on tap. Not many British pubs do this delicious Belgian beer so this one makes a welcome change. Inside the decor is welcoming
with fireplaces and good seats.

I would definitely recommend this pub.

For a work trip had the choice of the Hilton Doubletree or The Foresters Arms. I'm so glad I chose this place.
Jayne spotted me as soon as I walked in the pub with my rucksack and said hello, showed me the room and made sure I had everything I needed. I chose to have dinner there the first night and it was excellent and reasonably priced for London too (10% off for guests). The rooms are just like the photos, dark but cosy and the black blinds did a great job at cutting out the bright sun of 7am. Whilst I've seen (rarely) carpet on the walls, I'd never seen astroturf on the ceiling. The bed was very comfy too. My room was directly over the bar and I could just about hear the music until closing time, quiet enough not to disturb and I happened to like what was playing enough I'd be happy for the same room again.
The 2nd night I also went for dinner in the restaurant and Tom looked after me just as attentively as Jaynie, the service in the restaurant and for the rooms really was uncommonly good.
The shower was small but the water was plentiful and warm, enough I had to turn the flow down.
The rooms are served by their own door and although there's no separate reception it was great to be able to come and go freely.
My personal recommendations for the restaurant: one of the beers they serve ('Naked Ladies, I forget the brewer) and the cheese board I had for desert (which I gather changes frequently).
