We had an wedding anniversary party for my parents at the Sea Hotel today. The food was amazing, the service was first class and the atmosphere at the hotel was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend it for a function or just a meal in the restaurant.

Couldn't praise this hotel enough meal was excellent staff went out of their way to help. Would recommend to anyone all of our party could not fault the food . And half portions of starters and mains were available for children. Which is an excellent idea as some children are past wanting children's meals but find it hard to manage...

We haven't stayed at this hotel for about four years. We were going to stay for two nights but on the first night we had no heating in the room despite the valiant efforts of the hotel staff. All of the staff from waitresses, room cleaners to hotel reception staff and porters were wonderful. The fact the hotel has clearly...

Thank you so much to the wonderful staff who - along with the wonderful food and atmosphere - made our Christmas party last Thursday such a success. See you for more of the same next year! From the Over 55s club, Seaham

Had a really good night for in-laws 50th anniversary meal. Really friendly staff who made us all feel welcome, especially the golden couple. They laid on table decorations and knew why we were there when gave our name. The food is traditional and good quality.

Beware what you wish for: you might just get it. And we’re not far off it with hotels either: a complete takeover by the corporate so-called budget chains. Knowing exactly where your hairdryer will plug in in EVERY room in a Premier Inn throughout the whole country might appeal, but actually it’s just another ploy to ensure that design costs...

This is the 3rd time our support group has had its Christmas Dinner get together at this venue, and we have nothing but praise for the food, service and friendliness of the staff nothing is a bother. The food is freshly prepared, well cooked, tasty and plentiful with some of the best roast potatoes I have ever tasted. While the...

I can't believe people have given this hotel even good reviews let alone excellent! What a dump, without any doubt the worst best western in the uk I have stayed in. Dirty, run down hotel with rude staff, not all. We ordered drinks and were huffed at, yes huffed at! When our food was eventually served it was literally launched...

Dear thetowers2016 Many thanks for taking the time to review the hotel, along with the other 16 postings you made on the 8th December. Firstly please accept my apologies for not exceeding your expectations. It is obviously difficult to track back to your stay in March, with such a damming report I was surprised that you would wait 9 months...
