We were going the Devon steam fair so booked for 2 nights breakfast included in the price which was a good deal through booking dot com .
On arrival met at the bar and were shown to our room a very clean room and airy , tea facilities large television and free WiFi , had just a starter for lunch as we had got a table booked for a dinner later and the starter was enough salmon and prawns with salad , with a pint of the local beer which we thought was rather expensive at £4-80 a pint , evening meal was a little disappointing as the hunters chicken was a bit to moist and watery and the plates were not very warm , hot food on a cold plate is a no ,no for me . Breakfast was very good the first day and not quite so good the second day , but overall our stay was very good and would stay again , the staff were very pleasant and well mannered ,

Hi Geoff, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate the 4-stars and your comments, which are mostly positive. I'm glad that you enjoyed your visit and would choose to stay with us again. The same Chef cooked breakfast both days using the same ingredients so I am not sure why the standard was different on both days, however I will share the comments with the kitchen team.

We were travelling down to Plymouth to board the ferry and the situation of this hotel was a perfect stop-off. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening, which was excellent. However, the breakfast was the "piece de resistance" - there was more choice than in 5* hotels we have stayed in and the quality was fantastic. We particular liked the offer of freshly squeezed apple juice, which we presumed was sourced locally. We would definitely recommend and would stay here without hesitation.

On the 4th June 2022 we had the pleasure of having our daughters wedding here. From first contact right up until we left after the wedding all the staff were extremely professional and polite, The venue itself was perfect, the food was top quality, the decor in the function room was just amazing and the whole place was very clean. We did stay the night in one of the rooms which again we found to be comfortable and clean . The breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh so made it much better. I would highly recommend this place. 10/10

The Beambridge Inn is managed by Michael, who with his more than capable staff, made us feel like we were old friends, they are extremely friendly and polite, and made us feel very welcome, our room was the Executive Double room, which was very, very spacious. We had our evening meal in the restaurant, after ordering our food, we had to wait approximately 15 minutes for our food, not long considering that they were so busy.
A very big pat on the back to everybody, keep up the fantastic work and we WILL see you again!!!!!

I was working away on business and needed accommodation at short notice, after a quick search on a booking website the Beambridge Inn was the most suitable accommodation for what I needed.
Arriving just 90 mins after booking we were greeted in the bar by the staff who swiftly checked us in and showed us up to quite possibly the biggest twin room I've ever seen.
The room was just incredible, a huge bed, a huge sofa bed, a TV the size of a small house on the wall and a large bathroom to go with.
I decided to dine in at the Beambridge Inn and opted for a starter and a main course, both meals were exceptional, full of flavour, good size portions that filled you up yet left you wanting more!
After an incredible night's sleep, I woke up early and headed down for breakfast. The breakfast menu was presented to me and boy the choices were endless, I opted for a medium size breakfast, the larger variety would of slowed down my work for the rest of the day. The breakfast like the previous meals was full of fresh local products and full of flavour. The fresh fruit juice and hot drinks were also superb.
It's difficult for me to find any faults with my nights stay at the Beambridge Inn, every expectation was met and exceeded. I wouldn't not hesitate to return to the Beambridge Inn for another night's stay and meal.
The staffs attention to detail in every aspect was second to none!

Stayed two nights for a wedding, went to the bar to get our room, we were taken to our room by a lovely young lad.our disappointment was the hot water was scorching could put your hand under it,it should have a warning sign (VER HOTWATER),it’s dangerous.
The second day our coffee, tea etc were not replenished. Bins weren’t emptied, beds weren’t made.
Breakfast was not to bad but bacon very hard,no juice,no cereals,no jams etc not ,even offered although they were on the menu.
The bride was upset as the buffet for the evening was ordered for 6pm and wasn’t put out until 7.15 not good.
For £75 per night we feel that was a lot. That was a discounted price because of the wedding.

On their website the owners state; "As a family run business we pride ourselves on treating our customers as though they are guests in our home". Unfortunately their lack of hospitality let them down. I had to ask three times to have the sofa bed made up in our family room. Our room was noisy due to the refrigeration or air conditioning motors and fans on the roof outside our room. The intermittent roar from these machines were a nightmare. I was going to politely mention them to the management. But due our experience at breakfast, we just wanted to leave the premises as soon as possible. Some may think we overreacted. But I don't, having read their statement. Three of us entered the dining room where two or three others were eating breakfast. The breakfast menu is substantial, but not child friendly. Which led me to ask if the chef could make some 'eggybread' for the accompanying child. The owner stated that he would ask the chef. He returned and stated that it was not possible. I would understand if the dining room was full. But at most whilst we were sat at breakfast, including ourselves, there were six people having breakfast. It takes two to three minutes to make a slice of 'eggybread'.

Five of us for a birthday lunch, have been many times in the past and should have known something was wrong when the carpark was nearly empty, two members of staff, one a young girl with glasses who never stopped, the other an older woman who did everything but work but talked to anyone and everyone, lunch for all of was consructed with two utensils, a deep fat fryer and a microwave. Drinks were a total rip off , £3-20 for a so called pepsi which was heavily adultered with water as it couldnt raise a fizz. We will not be returning.

Hi, i'm really disappointed to read your comments. I'm sure if you read the rest of our recent reviews you'll see that this isn't the usual experience received by our guests. I will address your comments and concerns one by one below * Being a country Inn there are days where we are exceptionally busy and quieter days too! The car park being quiet on the day of your visit does not reflect how busy the car park is across the entire week. You may have happened to have visited on one of our quieter days, however the pub is still thriving and busy despite the current economic uncertainties facing many households. * The young girl with glasses that you mention as 'never stopping' is a fantastic employee who i'm glad you noticed works very hard. You mention another member of staff who 'talked to anyone and everyone' - a key part of our role as a public facing business is to chat to our customers and given the fact that you visited on a quiet day as you stated I would expect our team members to take extra time to chat to customers when they have time to do so, especially if a colleague is working on the bar area where they tend to spend more time standing than the waiting staff. * I do not feel that saying that our menu is constructed with a deep fat fryer and a microwave is fair, we have a modern commercial kitchen with equipment for all requirements and very little of our menu is fried or microwaved unless it is essential - such as frying fish or chips for example or reheating an item that has been pre-prepared freshly by our team. We would have certainly replaced any meal immediately and without quibble if you had informed the team members of your dissatisfaction. * Regarding your Pepsi which you say was heavily adultered with water, we have actually had our Pepsi machine out of order awaiting a new equipment installation so have been serving from bottles only. If you visited in the last month then the Pepsi you received will have come direct from a Pepsi bottle. Once again, I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your visit and felt you needed to leave a 1 star review. As a family run business we take our customer comments very seriously and take great pride in what we do. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your visit and will share your comments with all the team.

We booked The Arundel Room for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. As many friends and relatives were coming from some distance, all of the rooms were booked to us. The room and ensuite was clean and comfortable.
The staff were superb and everything went without a hitch. The buffet was delicious and catered for all tastes. Chris, our contact at the Beambridge, had everything organised. The band we had booked were pleased to see they had erected a stage for them, instead of being stuck in a corner!
The breakfast the following morning was delicious. We also had the carvery lunch with our immediate family which was also delicious.
We can heartily recommend The Beambridge Inn for any special occasion as they made our evening (and the guests).

Long long wait for food. Only two out of the three plates arrived at the same time with a further long wait for the 3rd plate. Not convinced that the sweet course would not be an equally long wait, so gave up.
The 8oz rump steak was of poor quality. A number of other errors were noted coming from another table.
No external lighting to rear of property which is the disabled level access to the Inn. Dangerous & unnecessary situation
