Detailed Reviews
You can often judge a hotel by it’s Helipad which seemed a bit tight to get into in anything larger than a 2 seater but luckily I arrived in a lowly Transit van so it wasn’t an issue!!
The staff here were all so incredibly good at making you feel as if nothing at all was too much bother and treated you as though you were the most important guest they had staying.
The food was excellent and the service in the restaurant was again first class. The rooms were clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. They had spent a lot of time on the little things that make a difference in the room such as shoe Polish etc too.
It was handy for the NEC and I shall be staying here and bringing my colleagues too from now on every time I need to attend a trade show there as the hotels on the NEC site are twice the cost and half as pleasant!

Visited the Nuthurst Grange for a lunch on Valentine’s Day.
Firstly the service in here is exceptional, very attentive, non-pretentious and professional. I cannot fault any aspect of the service at all I we were very impressed.
The lunch itself was from their set menu, I was just under £30 for three courses which included canapés to begin with.
The food was beautiful in both taste and presentation. I ate the lamb which was the best I have eaten anywhere, my wife had the risotto which was very good (she eats a lot of risotto!) I have eaten in a number of fine dining restaurants and this rates as one of the highest, will certainly return.
Would highly recommend for a meal, it really was very good.
I can’t comment on the accommodation but we plan to stay this year so will be leaving my view on that!

We visited for a wedding that was held at this location and the entire place felt romantic and lovely.
Staff were very friendly upon entrance and offered help with luggage to our room.
The room was beautiful with lovely views overlooking the gardens, good size bed, wardrobe and drawers, ironing board and iron, plenty of sockets, mini fridge with refreshments and hot drinks available.
The en-suite was lovely with a freestanding bath tub and separate shower, very spacious and clean, also over looking the gardens and pond and the bath was large enough for two.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and the staff had located some items I had left and kindly returned them to me.
The venue itself for a wedding was perfect. Staff were again, friendly, very helpful and offered very quick service. Glass collection was prompt, food was lovely too.
Brunch was just as lovely, well set up and quick service from staff, offering hot drinks on arrival.
I would love to stay again and would recommend for a nice evening.
Thank you

The hotel is situated in a delightful setting, but one is aware of motorway traffic not far off. There is plenty of parking space and a helicopter pad. The room we had was on the first floor with a view onto the garden. This was very spacious and looked immaculate, the only problem was it was cold. I telephoned to Reception and was informed it would be turned on in about 15 minutes. The bathroom had plenty of amenities including a small tablet of soap which is unusual these days since it is usually in a dispenser at the side of the sink and bath. There was a large bath with a shower over and cotton robes were provided.
A tray was provided with a selection of teas and coffee and milk was provided in the small fridge, and also a packet of biscuits each. Bottles of water were also in the fridge. The dressing table had a hairdryer hooked on the wall to the left, and in the centre were items such as a comb, sewing kit, shoe polish and shower cap.
The bed was extremely comfortable and had a sheet, blanket and and cover although my husband remarked that he would have preferred a duvet.
The dining room was very attractive, the food was nicely presented. I did asked for a glass of tomato juice which was on the drinks menu, but this was not available. I also overheard another guest requesting the same.
I did ask for a wake up call which did eventually come, but 25 minutes late. As it happened, it wasn’t desperate but could have been had we been en route to Birmingham Airport.
Breakfast was very nice with a selection of fresh fruit, prunes and apricots and the usual cereals together with small croissants and small pastries. There was also a good selection should you wished to have a cooked breakfast.

Recommended by friends and we first went for lunch. Our first ever visit and a really affable, friendly welcome from the staff and General Manager, Apo. Our table was in the sun lounge and the service was impeccable. The small Hors d'oeuvre were startling and a sign of what was to follow (see photos). We were impressed.
So a week later we returned for dinner and this time sat in the inner dining room. Different choices on the menu, though the Hors d'oeuvre were the same - nay problem. Our waiter once more was Lazlo, as we both chose steak he advised us to add vegetables and we just about ate everything - quality, not quantity.
We shall return again, so impressed, comfortable and a real treat to have this so close by. Yes, you do pay £30 for the food (with a £10 discount currently) and it is value for money.

Visited Nuthurst Grange with family and friends for a belated 80th Birthday celebration for my Mum,
We were seated in a private alcove which was perfect allowing us to talk to each other ( even though we were seated on 2 separate tables ) without disturbing fellow diners .
Warm & friendly greeting, food orders taken promptly, drinks and food arrived in good time , quality and presentation of food was beautiful.
Special recognition has to be given to ‘Mo’ who went above and beyond, the extra mile to make our celebration very special, nothing was too much trouble , he constantly checked in to ensure everything was ok for us, & made time to talk to everyone, great sense of humour , splendid host & truly a ‘ one in a million ‘ employee.
If anyone needs a master class in first class customer service … go visit ‘Mo’ !
Truly hope he receives the recognition he deserves for making our day … we will return !

My parents have been married for 60 years and wanted a special family lunch and this place does special by the bucketload. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The service was amazing and so friendly with laughter and kindness. Sunday lunch was perfection, delicious and beautifully served. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks go to Maz who made everything so special and made us all laugh, a real credit to Nuthurst. All the staff were so friendly and a special mention for Mo who was always there to help.
You have made the day so special for my parents and I wish I could give ten stars!!!

This is an old property which I'm guessing means that it's expensive to maintain and that's why the rooms are expensive. The room I had was big but a bit odd in terms of decor - four poster bed but with nineties-style furniture. There was a small desk/dressing table but one half was unusable because the mini fridge was under the table. The other half could only be used by moving a table lamp onto the floor.
The restaurant was extremely disappointing. I had dinner which cost about £60 for 3 courses with wine which would have been fine if the dishes had acquired any sort of flavour on their way to the table. The full English breakfast was no better with the weakest, most insipid coffee I've had in a long time. It's served in a cafetiere but I suspect it comes out of an urn given that the plunger on the cafetiere was already down when the pot arrived. I sent the first pot back but the second was no better.
Not recommended.

Visited last night with friends. Had messaged the restaurant & added a ‘note’ on the booking page to request a table in the conservatory & also asked if we arrived earlier could we have a drink in the bar. I was informed this wouldn’t be a problem. Arrived .half an hour early to be told the bar was full and that we couldn’t sit outside for a drink or have a drink in the (empty.) lounge. The only option we had was to go directly to our table (which was not in the conservatory as requested!) No attempt was made to accommodate us. We were looking forward to catching up with our friends over a drink but were handed the dinner menu straight away.
I’d visited 3 tines before this last lockdown (see review of Oct last year) and had been so impressed on each occasion. Found this visit to be rather disappointing unfortunately. No canapés before dinner were offered as had been on previous visits.
Food was good but not exceptional. All 4 mains came with none or very little jus or sauce.
Service was excellent as previously experienced except at the end of the evening when finishing our wine, tables were being set up for breakfast around us - which I found irritating- & we were asked to go through to the lounge as they closed at 11 (we were previously told we couldn’t have a drink here). It felt like they couldn’t wait for us to leave.
Sorry but certainly won’t be rushing to return. Such a shame as had been really looking forward to our evening.

Hi Karen.
You’ll be delighted to know that there are slippers and robes in the room. But I am aware of someone who didn’t have so perhaps mention it at the time of booking. It’s a beautiful hotel and the surrounding countryside is lovely if you fancy a nice walk and the weather holds for you.
Have a wonderful stay! 😊
