Peacefully Rural. Apple Orchard Farmhouse dates back to circa 1645 and is surrounded by grazing meadow and unspoilt views of the countryside and the distant church spires of Dadlington and Stoke Golding. The farmhouse stands within the site of the Battle of Bosworth Field, where Richard III lost his life and marked the end of the War of the Roses. The accommodation is accessed through a separate external entrance, to which you have completely flexible access. The bedrooms are up a short flight of stairs from the kitchen/lobby area, one of which is set up as a lounge with a double sofa bed and one with a double bed. The configuration can be amended to suit guest requirements including the addition of a travel cot if required. The kitchenette is on the ground floor and is fully equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, combi oven/microwave, induction plate and toaster. There is a complimentary starter hamper comprising milk, sugar, tea, bread, butter, assorted preserves, mineral water and snacks.

Detailed Reviews
This B & B is small in the number of rooms it offers, but is big on hospitality. The facilities in the room we had were also very good; wet room shower and bath robes included.
There was good choice at breakfast (e.g. cereals, grapefruit, toast), but the full English had locally sourced meat and eggs from the chickens on site. All freshly cooked and not at all greasy.
We couldn't fault the friendliness of the welcome. We inadvertently left our bag of dirty washing behind and Helen our host even drove to the Bosworth Field museum to try to find us. As she was unsuccessful she rang us at home to arrange to post it on. Do such errant guests deserve such treatment?

We had a fantastic stay at Apple Orchard Farm. This is a peaceful place with beautifully outfitted rooms and modern en suite bathrooms. Our host was most welcoming and friendly, and we can heartily recommend the delicious English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, including eggs fresh off the farm. Charming villages offer nearby food and footpaths provide great walking with the historic Bosworth battle site within view of the farm.

I stayed at Apple Orchard Farm for 5 nights in late March 2015 while attending the King Richard III reinterment activities in nearby Leicester. My stay was wonderful and Helen (the proprietor) and her family were delightful. The B&B is housed in a beautiful 370 year old Grade II red brick home. The guest rooms are in a separate part of the house and are accessible through their own door so there is plenty of privacy and quiet. There is a separate lounge area for guests with a large screen TV and fireplace. A delicious full breakfast was served each morning in the lounge. My bedroom was small but functional and had everything that was needed including an ensuite bath with wet room shower, double bed, cable TV, free wifi, bathrobe and tea/coffee maker. The view of the countryside from my window was lovely. Helen and her family were gracious hosts who assisted me with many aspects of my trip including arranging local car rental, retrieving my lost iPad from a nearby church (thanks!) and advising me of places to visit.
The Leicestershire and Warwickshire villages surrounding the B&B are quintessentially English. Dadlington and Stoke Golding are within walking distance and Sutton Cheney, Market Bosworth and Shenton are within a short drive. All are charming and Apple Orchard Farm makes a good base for exploring the countryside. There are footpaths everywhere and while the roads are quite narrow they are in good shape. If you are a fan of King Richard III or of English history then Apple Orchard Farm is the place for you. It is within a mile of the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and the farm is located on the site of the 1485 battle.
I loved my stay at Apple Orchard Farm and I highly recommend the experience. Thank you, Helen, for making my stay memorable and enjoyable!

I stayed here some years back but the charming couple who live here hidden away from the road surrounded by their horses, dogs, cat have not sat on their fingers they have redecorated and built some wonderful additions to allow you to share their home. Everything done in the best possible taste. I recommend staying the night when you have time to linger over breakfast adjacent to the kitchen and looking out on the dawn sky. Enjoy

The rooms are supremely comfortable, with excellent rural views. Stoke Golding is a short walk away through cornfields and has all the amenities and attractiveness you would expect from a traditional Midlands English village. Helen is a great host and prepares a magnificent breakfast each day, and because I have stayed so long she goes to the trouble of creating a variety of different dishes which was highly appreciated. One of the great benefits of this property is that the entrance for the B&B is separate from the main house and this helps to maintain a degree of independence during the course of ones stay. I have really appreciated being here during my extended stay away from home, and will remain a regular until my contract ends in December.

We have stayed at Apple Orchard several times over the last few years and have always had a relaxing and peaceful stay. The bedrooms are lovely, extremely comfortable with a view of the garden or the stables/,,the kids enjoy seeing the horses and spotting the chickens who provide fresh eggs for the delicious breakfasts! The owners,Helen and Glenn, are very friendly and gave great advice for walks along the canal and making the most of the nearby Bosworth Battlefield. Thank you for great visits and we hope to be back very soon!

We had a wonderful couple of weeks staying at Apple Orchard Farm. We originally booked for a few nights but extended because we were enjoying it sooo much. Helen and Glen made us so welcome and the accommodation and breakfasts were just perfect ..... a must go to place, particularly if you are interested in English history!

Stayed over a six month period one day a week. Quiet location, friendly owner and very tasty English breakfast. Rooms tidy with en suite bathroom. The farmhouse hotels are the places to stay because they have that personal laid back ambience unlike the big chain hotels. Very happy I stayed which is why I came back every week over a six month time period.

Thank you
Good Morning. I have two adjacent double bedded rooms. Both have en-suite shower rooms. I do use a fold out temporary bed occasionally, but this depends on the age of the children. I hope that this helps a little. Thank you. Kind regards.
