We had been planning a surprise birthday weekend for a couple of months and the hotel exceeded all requirements even down to keeping the secret away from the birthday boy himself. I would highly recommend the hotel for private dining, the menu is lovely and the staff can't do enough for you. Special thanks to Malin who organised everything from...

We spent two days at Brownsover Hall this week, for our company's divisional meeting. The meeting facilities were ideal, lunch was fantastic (both days), and the service we had from the entire team over the two days was perfect. The hotel has beautiful rural landscape views from the meeting room and restaurant. Rave reviews from all who attended. The hotel...

Catching up with a friend thought we'd meet half way so decided to do lunch here. Was greeted with s nice friendly reception and when I wandered into the dining area Anna greeted me and directed me to the bar and gave lunch menus. When my friend joined me we asked about gluten free options, she bought back a menu...

Old hall but in need of bedroom up grade. The shower ran from hot to cold no consistent temperature, duvets flat and the bed needed to be replaced as it sank towards the middle. Breakfast basic not enough cereal choice or yogurts. On the plus the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. It is an old hall and very lovely...

The Hall itself was steeped in History & very beautiful but I found the food very basic. I'm a vegetarian & the choice was poor. Bedroom was specious but the sink was blocked & the duvet was very old & flat. The staff were very helpful & nothing was too much trouble. In all a fabulous atmosphere but it needs...

Thee rooms were dated and dirty, mouth a song smells of damp, one of our party's room had a plug in in it, if your premises needs a plugin address the issue. This place is not cheap , it's not value. Food was only ok at dinner and not served well, ie you need bread, toast or cracker with a terrine...

We visited Brownsover Hall in mid January for Sunday lunch with about 40 other family members to celebrate a christening. Despite the size of the party each of the three courses was served timely and the food was both hot and tasty. The staff were also helpful and attentive throughout. All in all it turned out to be a great...

We actually visited this hotel before booking and were quite impressed both with the setting and the actual bedroom which we were shown. Being told that this room was not yet booked we immediately said "It is now". We went back to reception and paid the full amount and went away quite happy. When we arrived we were given the...

Two colleagues and I stayed in this hotel last night and found the experience less than favourable. Our rooms were cold and dated, but reasonably comfortable. Dinner was quite haphazard from a staff service perspective: food choices unavailable, requests for drinks and condiments took an unreasonable time to arrive, the bill had an extra bottle of wine on it which...
