We were told that this venue was to be open in the summer and then around now but it's still all a building site. Place is totally unfinished with a portaloo in the main entrance. Unsure on opening date..doesn't bode well for planning future events.

A beautiful old farmhouse in a beautiful part of the country. The room was lovely too (over the guest lounge) - complete with many of the original features including an interesting slope to the floor in places (disconcerting after returning from the local hostelry!) and lovely views over the fields across the road. But... we were disappointed that we weren't...

Blackwell Grange gave us the peaceful relaxing break which we desperately needed. The garden cottage was a delight to be in. It was comfortable, spacious and very clean. We took breakfast in the four hundred year old farmhouse which retains many of its original features whilst catering for the needs of weary travellers. Definitely a place to re-visit.

This is the second year my friends and I have stayed for a week in Garden Cottage. It provided the ideal accommodation for a group which included one who needed disabled facilities. It is an excellent location for visits to the RSC and also to a range of interesting places in the wider locality. The accommodation offers every comfort and...

We loved the cottage it was roomy & comfortable. I left my bracelet in the bathroom & the owners were kind enough to post it to me. I stayed with my 2 children, we wished we had more time to take it all in. I met the mother in law who was lovely & accommodating. I would go back there...

My husband and I stayed in Distiller's Cottage, one of the self-catering cottages in the same complex as the B&B and, while we didn't have a bad experience, I wouldn't choose to go back. The place was a bit of a challenge to find but Blackwell is quite small so there is only so many roads you can go down...

This was either my 4th or 5th stay at Blackwell Grange, and I'm a big fan--but this is not a hotel or even a conventional English bed & breakfast, so it is necessary to have the proper expectations if you choose to stay here. This building has got to be at least 300 years old and has enormous character and...

Without doubt Blackwell Grange is one of the most comfortable b. & bs. that my husband and I have stayed in. We have been there a number of times and we have always had a great welcome, warm bedrooms, oodles of hot water and a delicious breakfast. I could recommend Blackwell Grange to anyone.

“The double over the guest room is very good (though only a bath, no shower). The one in the annexe in on the ground floor, had bath bath and shower, and was also good but lacked the views.”
