The situation was already unbearable, in that we were attending my mother in laws funeral, and needed to stay close to the church. All our first choice hotels were fully booked; I eventually found the Hare and Five Hounds, and booked two rooms after speaking to the manager and reading all available reviews. We arrived quite late and was greeted...

Pro: on site parking, free wifi (though slow). Big bed and comfortable. Tea and pot in room Con: Blanket smelled strongly of detergent, like a car freshener. Allergy sufferers beware! Only one light in room, a bright overhead light with no dimmer. No heat in the morning. Included 'breakfast' is bread, old toaster, ham, cheese, yogurt. Only one medium and...

We needed a hotel at short notice for just one eve as a mid stop from Scotland to Hampshire. The price was really reasonable so we were a little worried but the reviews & photos looked good. We weren't disappointed. The room was warm, had a great (new, memory foam) bed and perfect for one night. We ate in the...

Not sure if its a hotel or a B&B, something between the two. How ever its comfortable, staff are friendly and there is a great Italian Restaurant on the ground floor. About 10 rooms, Ours was a large room with a comfortable king size bed and bathroom, plenty of hot water. Central heating kept it cosy. No noise in the...

I received a warm, friendly welcome by staff here at the B&B. They made every effort to ensure I had everything I needed. Definitely recommend having a drink in the bar downstairs, as the atmosphere is great and again, the staff were great to chat to. Room was exactly what I needed. It was huge, but more than. Enough room!...

After a night out at a local party, I needed somewhere to stay. I called HFH about 1am, was greeted by a very friendly concierge who was covering the night shift. They had a room available. Upon arrival I paid in cash for the room, she even got me a jug of water to take to the room. The room...
