A beautiful holiday park set in 42 acres of grassland with tree lined roads, this long established, family owned park sits on the edge of the popular seaside town of Bognor Regis in West Sussex. The ideal base for a relaxing and fun filled family holiday. Children are well catered for, with their own Rascals Club (4–13s) with its programme of fun activities and games. A clubhouse offers entertainment for the whole family, including cabarets, discos, bingo, live music and dancing. Riverside makes a perfect base to explore West Sussex, one of the most beautiful countys in England. Littlehampton is just seven miles away as is the historic Roman city of Chichester. Nearby Arundel has been described as one of the most perfect villages in Britain. Riverside also makes a great base for Fontwell and Goodwood.

On our way home now from a relaxing week away which was far more relaxed then shouldve been. Obviously we understand not everything can open but to have nothing on site open was ridiculous, outdoor swimming pool had to be booked at 7.30am to get a 50 minute slot for the day. No arcade open and no evening entertainment. We were told 2 nights of bingo to find out later that is was on every night for owners. A small function room was open at 5pm -8pm never known a bar to close at 8pm. And in the bar u were asked to que at social distance which was fine until we noticed owners were jumping the queue and gettin served at the bar not acceptable in my eyes when I paid £750 for a weeks holiday and was treated as second class after owners. Dont think we will b returning here which is a shame but didn't feel welcome at all.

I really didn’t know what to expect with our stay as I booked it through the sun holidays.
I brought our own bedding and we payed the £10 each for the entertainment passes.

The caravan;
We stayed in a 3 br caravan. I had read that the caravan only has a heater in the main lounge, so I brought extra blankets just incase. We didn’t really need them (but always rather have and not need than need and not have!)
The caravan is a little dated but it’s fine. We had an issue with the boiler in that the pilot light wouldn’t stay on, but the engineer came and fixed the problem.
Caravan itself lacks home comforts like lamps and cushions but it was a basic one we had. That been said, there was plenty of plates etc but only one medium pan and one tiny one and a frying pan. The pans have most certainly seen better days and perhaps kitchen utensils could do with an update.
There was a little mould around the windows and one night, my son said he felt a drop of water. Turns out, the heavy rain was blowing through the bedroom window (which was closed!) only a few drops but still enough to cause damp.

The complex; The staff are very friendly and I can honestly say that of all the caravan holidays we have had, this has the best amusements gif the kids. They loved it! It seems fresh and clean (plus they won loads of lollies and haribo….so kept them happy and they enjoyed the little soft play.
We did the kids entertainment one Saturday morning which the kids loved. It was quiet and Luke (?) was great with the kids. We also did a family scavenger hunt which was good fun too!
We also had lunch in the restaurant which was really lovely too. Kids had macaroni cheese, I had a burger and my husband had a pizza which was all very nice (and good value too)
The evening entertainment was enjoyed by all! We usually avoid crowded places but the kids wanted to go, so we went along and I’m pleased we did as the kids had a blast on the dance floor. We didn’t win bingo but had good fun taking part and Badness, the Madness group was on and they were great!
The staff were really engaging and seemed to love what they do…..that goes such s long way!

The pool: again, one of the best pools we have been to. There was separate male/female changing areas. Yes, a little dated, but we’ll maintained and plenty of space. The pool was warm (we didn’t use the outdoor pools) and an on-duty lifeguard was present. It is a basic pool with no slides etc but it seemed clean and had seating around the side if you didn’t want to have a splash. Showers for after too made for easier hair washing with kids instead of trying to squeeze in to the cubicle in the caravan! The lockers take an old £1 coin but we just left our things by the poolside.

There is s play park on site too but sadly the weather hadn’t allowed the kids to play!

10 minute drive from the beach. On site is nice. Good green spaces and play area for kids. The indoor pool was lovely. They had vigilant lifeguards. The site is near Tesco and Sainsbury and is in a built up area, but once your inside you wouldn't know. There is background noise, not excessive - but don't expect to hear a pin drop, or countryside quiet! We stayed end of March, it was sunny but cold at night. We used the electric heaters and this was adequate (warm clothes needed). 3 bedrooms - tight on space but workable. I had the travel cot, it squeezed into the master but if you had a tiny baby you could set up in the ample living space and sleep on sofa. The kitchen has everything required. The van was tired but super clean. The site was busy with long term stay and visitors and everyone was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay. If you are 5* lux - this may not be for you, but if you have a family and are looking for a base whilst you holiday it will work well and is a good place to stay. I read the other reviews before my stay and was worried by some of the negative ones. I understand what they meant but feel it was more about high expectation, rather than making the best of and enjoying what you have. The team at the site make a lot of effort to ensure guests have a nice stay.

Weeks before arriving I phoned on several occasions as things were changing on a daily bases due to these uncertain times. I was told that everything is opening as they were following the government guidelines.
As I arrived at the reception the lady handed me an envelope with the keys and a paper treasure hunt, which had the play park opening times (which were meant to close at 2pm to be sanitised and never was) And what seemed to be a very well rehearsed line.
We were told only the outdoor pool was opened weather permitting and you have to book, which was only for 50mins. With one life guard watching over the pool and opening and locking the gate of the entrance at the same time, which is very alarming!!
The arcade and main club house was NOT open!
The JD bar was open with a certain amount of people in
With no social distancing, NO ONE was wearing a face mask not even the staff!!!
The stage in the field was a one night wonder! There was some nice evenings which they could of made much more use of it.
The lack of workers to pick up rubbish around the site was
unbelievably.

RIVERSIDE this is disgusting and very upsetting for EVERYONE!!!!

Me and my friend and her children stayed here we checked in Saturday 19th August, when we checked in the staff said we don’t have another person on booking, Hoeseasons never informed us which is lie as my mate updated her booking information before going to riverside few days before.
When we got in the caravan we wish we haven’t ripped curtains and dirty and old shouldn’t of been rented out and it was dirty and had not been cleaned not enough bedding for amount of people in party so I phoned up reception and she advised me they would get more bedding to us, the head of housekeeping came over she was very rude I had to bite my tongue with her and she testing my patience she was so rude to me and I advised her the sofa was dirty and not been cleaned she turned around and said we are not all prefect! Which I explained I want it cleaned thank you! And she also said if we made it spotless customer wouldn’t be able to check in till 8pm , she also said if you don’t like go home, and we had travelled 3 hours to get here, when was going explore the manager was like you don’t like it go home and we can give you refund from Hoeseasons the staff are liars and no customer service at all! The whole place is a joke they don’t even have decent restaurants it’s a snack burger bar with limited food and looked awful the entertainment was even worst, swimming pool was dirty inside play park had no swings for children, the place smelt bad and this place really needs to give its staff some customer service training, my friend spent three days on phone to Hoeseasons to try find alternative accommodation as we didn’t want stay here! It was making us depressed when we checked out manager was like we thought u checked out on Sunday but Hoeseasons told us to stay till Monday 21st and would try find us alternative accommodation which they couldn’t! My friend spent a lot of money saving up for great summer holiday with her children and it was wasted! Think again about booking riverside for a get away!
The staff are RUDE!!! And the manager is so rude and sarcastic

We think this place is fantastic and we are booking again. It’s the beginning of the season and this place is quiet. However they are still running entertainment and the staff are so accommodating. My daughter was the only child in the clubhouse last night and the entertainment staff sat with her making monster puppets and danced with her on the dance floor because that is what she wanted to do. The staff really care and the place has a family run friendly feel to it. We often go at this time of the year and most other sites close vast areas and most of their entertainment doesn’t happen. Everything was open on this site and if entertainment couldn’t go ahead (like not enough people to play bingo) other things like quizzes were put in their place. The restaurant on site serves good quality food at a very cheap rate and we’re happy to cater to my food intolerances.
Accommodation is clean up to date and so much nicer that other places. It also had a good supply of cooking stuffs which is often not the case. Lots of residents on site meaning the place as a whole is cared for and has a community feel to it.
As for the location I did wonder when we arrived as the entrance is wedged in the middle of a retail park but it falls back towards fields and woodland so it’s actually very quiet and feels like it’s in the countryside.

We are just back from a wonderful stay at Riverside Caravan Club.
Our caravan itself was very small and a bit dated with some of the fixtures and fittings needing a seeing to, however our expectations for a Bronze van on a Sun Holiday deal weren't high and this didn't spoil our experience. Most importantly, it was fresh and clean.
Only real downside was having to make up all the beds ourselves. Whenever I've added linen on in previous parks it's always been done for us.
The site is in the middle of a retail/industrial park off the busy main road, which is a strange setting, however once inside you just have that usual caravan holiday feel with nice enough surroundings, and as the park is much smaller than we are used to (being independent rather than a chain), it feels very safe and secure.
The only downside was our van was positioned to the rear of the park, alongside the dual carriageway, so at night the traffic was noisy (but you got used to it).
The facilities on site are good, although the park could benefit from its own shop, just for convenience. That said you have Tesco, Sainsburys, M&S food, as well as places like Burger King, Costa, McDonalds etc etc just outside the park. Whilst there is a restaurant, the choice on the menu was quite limited, but we found we could order Just Eat, Deliveroo and the like to our door, so that solved a problem!
The arcade was quite basic, but good enough to keep my kids busy/happy/wasting money 🤣. There was a little soft play inside too which was a nice addition and got a lot of use.
The kids club entertainers and characters were good fun, and even though the park was fairly empty when we went, they still gave maximum effort.
We were fortunate enough to have had wonderful weather during our break which meant we benefitted from the heated outdoor pool which was glorious. For a while I felt like I was abroad rather than at Bognor! (Its been a while, ha!).
The kids splash pool was cold, but children went in regardless, enjoying the little sprinkler and slide.
The indoor pool and jacuzzi were lovely too.
There is a little adventure park/ playground which my 3 loved, and spent a lot of time playing and making friends.
The site is a 5 minute drive from the lovely Hotham Park which is well worth a visit, and no more than a 10 minute drive to the beach. The actual distance "as the crow flies isn't far", however you have to navigate the one way system on the exit from the park to end up going in the right direction which is what adds to the time.
Overall we had a fabulous time and I would definitely love to visit again

We stayed here Monday to Friday and we are already arranging our next stay!
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

We had a 2 bedroom gold caravan which was clean, modern and cosy. The beds are no longer made up on arrival but the linen was provided.

The pools are lovely and clean and it is a real bonus to have the large outdoor pool on a hot day. The lifeguards are brilliant and keep a very close watch on both pools giving you peace of mind.

The site is very well situated. There is a Sainsbury’s, Tesco, KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, M&S Food Hall, BK within walking distance so you can self cater/ eat out very easily. A little further along there is now also a Greggs, Aldi and Starbucks. You can eat on site also.

There is a clubhouse on site - I didn't go along but my daughter did and she seemed to enjoy it.

A 5 minute drive takes you down to the seafront.
You have the Picturedrome cinema in town, this is an extremely reasonable cost.
Butlins day passes can be purchased on line for a day out also and Littlehampton isn’t too far away where you will find Harbour Park with arcades and rides.

We love this site and will definitely be returning - hopefully very soon!

We recently travelled to this Site and hired a Caravan for a week. Unfortunately the accommodation was filthy, the seating was threadbare and even the beds were terrible
.
Instead of complaining my wife went out and bought cleaning fluids and cloths, it took her most of the day to make the caravan habitable.

The shower area was filthy and dirt was piled up in the corners, there was blood stains on the woodwork and the toilet wouldn’t flush correctly.

I took pictures of most of the worn out and filthy areas for future use, Even the front window of the caravan was opaque caused by a faulty glazing unit. The whole caravan smelt of sweaty feet, it certainly hadn’t been cleaned for some time, even the radiators were rusty.
It was so bad we left after 3 days leaving a note for the park supervisor to read detailing our complaint and vowed never to return.

On our return home we contacted Hoseasons who we booked with and sent them photos etc.
Sadly Hoseasons didn’t have the decency to give us a reply and are still ignoring all our messages and e mails.

Be warned this is how Hoseasons and Riverside Park serve their clients.

The caravan needed a deep clean! The curtains, carpet, cutlery and cupboards were very sticky and had not been washed or properly cleaned before we arrived. The double room mattress had seen better days and needs replacing. The bathroom had been updated and was clean and fresh. The second bedroom beds had new mattresses and were fine for children not adults (too narrow for an adult). The Clubhouse drinks were reasonably priced and were of good quality. The food was fine while it lasted but they seem to run out of it too early leaving people to their own devices but not allowing people to eat takeaways in the clubhouse even though they had nothing to offer themselves. The entertainment was good a couple of tribute bands. Chas and Dave and The Beatles. which everyone seemed to enjoy. Bogner itself hasn't a lot to offer in my opinion but as we came for the Goodwood races which were excellent by the way that was by the by. All in all enjoyed our stay, would I come again maybe if the above issues were addressed.
