Just as described , beautiful lodge house just right for solo traveller or a couple. Everything provided down to cake on arrival, tea and coffee etc. Very comfortable bed. Do what I did and have the cooked breakfast. Very tasty and worth every penny. Set me up for the day. Just one tip your mobile may not work, no signal...

High quality b&b in a detached building. Easy to book by email. We stayed 4 nights and walked many of the local footpaths and found good places to eat in the surrounding area. Jessica's breakfast pack is more than adequate and it is enjoyable to be able to have breakfast whenever suits us. Highly recommend.

Amazing room, cooked breakfast just how we wanted it and even left us a present as she knew it was our wedding night! Can't really ask for more, would recommend to anyone who is thinking of staying in the area.

Stayed here 1 night to attend a wedding locally. Owners were so helpful & welcoming, going above & beyond - We'd had no luck sourcing taxis to & from the wedding but they managed to book us a cab home & actually drove us to the church themselves! Delicious chocolate cake on arrival & the accommodation was lovely. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Burghurst Lodge, we were attending a wedding near by and decided to stay in this b&b as it looked so pretty in the pictures and it didn't disappoint! Jessica was a fantastic host and even kindly dropped us off at the wedding venue so we didn't have to get one of the area's expensive...

A beautiful place, more like a holiday cottage than a B&B. The room was comfy with a bed and a couch, the shower was clean and roomy, and there is a small, fully stocked kitchenette complete with delicious cake (Honestly, its such good cake!)! The only down side was the lack of wifi but I understand this is a temporary...

Sussex is a very difficult place to find lovely, comfortable summer accommodation, so Burghurst Lodge is a godsend! I was looking for a week's self-catering, and was a little confused that Jessica advertised as B&B. On arrival I found out why! The most delectable fixings for a wonderful breakfast are provided in the well-equipped kitchen: home-baked bread to die for,...

What a lovely find. Very tasteful self-contained accommodation with lots of thoughtful touches; fresh flowers, homemade cake etc. we really liked the way that you could do your own continental breakfast with all the nice food provied by Jessica or you could have a cooked breakfast brought over. Definitely recommend.

This lodge was so lovely and the hosts were fantastic - very friendly and didn't mind us arriving 2 hours late (motorway traffic!!). The bed was so comfortable & the whole lodge was subtlety decorated and made for a really relaxing stay. As others have said the food was fab, especially the homemade cake and preserves. The location of the...

After a cold day out in the woods on a course, the B&B was everything I hoped for and more, clean, warm, cosy and welcoming. Beautiful top notch furnishings and tastefully decorated. Super breakfast in fridge with warm home made bread and a cake waiting for me on arrival! Lovely choice of preserves, cereals, hot drinks. The shower was a...
