Stayed for a family celebration. The train carriages are amazing! Better than you would imagine - so comfortable and cozy. Very well equipped with a large bathroom. Clearly the room are narrow but they are long and much more spacious than anticipated. The heating warms up very quickly and we needed to turn it off overnight. All rooms seem to be different but all very good standard. Downside is having to run along the platform in the rain to visit neighbours but its part of the fun too! The b and b is quite tucked away down a lane but there is a cosy pub just 2 minutes walk. Breakfast is great quality and in the old station house with a roaring fire. Lovely! No complaints. It's not cheap but a fabulous place to stay.

Wow really does not cover how good this venue is, from the well kept station building (with rooms for guests), to the amazing Pullman carriages. Stunningly set out using original features as well as the upgrading to provide a stunning bedroom with large ensuite. The bed was so comfortable and nothing was too much for the staff. Breakfast (full English) in the beautiful station building with a facility of continental served in your carriage. Everything is done with style. We used the Badgers Pub next door for our evening meal which provided lovely food (toffee chocolate pudding with caramel sauce is a must) Great venue, relaxing, cannot wait to return!

What a little find, this place was recommended to me and I had no idea what to expect! Stayed for one night and loved it. Carriage was a little chilly but really nice and comfortable, i especially loved the tea and coffee options in the carriage. My only negative was a slight damp odour on the duvet, replace those and it was perfect. We stayed one night and were made very welcome by all staff. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Such great quality food really set us up for the day!! Would certainly recommend others to stay here for this unique experience

There are 4 restored Pullman Cars, each of which is split into two zones comprising a bedroom and a bathroom. We stayed in Mimosa. Obviously by dint of being a railway carriage, space is quite limited but there is a TV, small seating area and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast is fulsome and provided in the adjoining old station building. Everything is of a high standard and clean. Lots of interesting railway memorabilia around the site. Ideal breakaway for a romantic trainspotter !

I had this brought for me by my family for a big birthday. We stayed in Montana 4 which is the deluxe pullman. The carriage was spacious, lovely bed and a good size bathroom which had bath and walk in shower. The breakfast was great and staff were lovely. The station is lovingly kept, they are doing up another carriage by station building to be dinning car. The carriage did get a bit chilly in evening and morning so just put radiators on for little while and this to edge of chilliness We believe this was a worth while stay.

My husband and I stayed at The Old Railway Station for two nights in the most beautiful Pulman Carriage. The accomodation was faultless, breakfast amazing and the staff were attentive and delightful. Such a unique place to stay that has been restored tastefully and kept true to it's heritage. A truly lovely place to stay and I would recommend to others without hesitation.

Have always wanted to stay here ever since exploring the deserted station in the 70’s. The old station at Petworth has been lovingly restored and Pullman carriages turned into en-suite bedrooms. We stayed in Flora2 for 2 nights. The beds are very comfy but the linen and pillows could do with upgrading. The bed is level but the floors of this carriage slope. Bit weird when you have to get up during the night to use the bathroom but adds to the character. It’s been authentically restored apart from the bathrooms. They all have modern appliances and tiling. This could have been kept more in keeping with the period by some simple design decisions : dark wood flooring, white tiles and old style taps. The setting is idyllic.. tranquil and surrounded by trees and plants. It was lovely to sit on the platform for breakfast in Lloyd Loom style chairs and be served with period Silver teapots. The breakfast is the best and the waiting staff are 1st class. Nothing is too much trouble. The old waiting room is a restaurant for breakfast and afternoon tea and there is also a licenced bar open 12:30-6:30. The buildings are full of period items which add the the character of the whole place. Petworth and surrounding villages have lots to see and some superb pub/restaurants. Only 30 minutes to the coast too. This could easily be a 5 star + establishment with a bit of investment. Whoever restores or designs the carriage interiors would benefit from spending a couple of nights in one. All in all thought a fun experience and recommended. We stayed during Goodwood Revival so alot if fellow passengers in period costume .. fun!
