Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most rudest and aggressive owner of a campsite I’ve ever met wouldn’t allow us to stay because there was more than five of us,grandparents, children and four children that’s what camping is family together never will I be able to understand how they do business when they are aggressive and rude to old people this was before my children and kids turned up we had no choice but to go to another campsite in Kent the hop farm, please don’t use this campsite

Nice and quiet campsite. I enjoyed the nearby village. Beach wasn't too far either. Some tasty food in the village as well. Loads of places to walk my dog. I would like to come back with my dog again. There is also a free dog shower!!

👍 good patch of grass to put up a tent and enjoy the beach. Didn’t have to pay an extortionate amount and looks like it’s a giant site with loads of fields that they open if others get full. Can see myself going again.

Was a lovely experience. Went with family and everyone had a good time. The campsite is in a great location near the beach and the shops are all 10 minutes walk away. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to camp.

Room Tip: Check the tide times before heading down to the beach. Low tide is sandy, high tide is pebbles.

Huge and well mainainted campsite, me and my wife had a great time being able to walk 5 minutes to the beach each day with ease and our dog enjoyed the dog walking field as well as their warm dog shower. No regulations for any standard campers, just an open field and you're able to set up anywhere you want.

Operating on a first come first serve basis has me skeptical at first when I first called inquiring about the site, but thankfully my doubts were poorly founded. The site is huge with plenty of room for a great deal of people during the busy summers I imagine, I had an incredible time with my family with no faults found, upon arrive I was treated and introduced to the site from friendly and helpful staff, a rotating toilet block system ensuring they’re always clean, and a beautiful place to camp out near the coast. I will definitely be coming back here especially as I can’t allow a free night from a loyalty card to go to waste (once I’ve filled it that is). The catering this site has towards families and smaller camping is lovely not having to deal with a large groups making noise into the night. A simple read through of their website easily informed me of their choice to not allow adult groups onto their site, so it’s upsetting to see a great deal of the low reviews here criticising that very choice after being turned away, a small amount of reading or a phone call I imagine would have saved them all that trouble. But their loss was my gain I suppose for such a nice quiet night at this site. Perfect camping holiday. I’ll think about putting my name down for one of those seasonal spots maybe next time I come down.

Another amazing stay at Scott's! I've been coming here a while now and it's still a great stay, close to the beach and I love the Cafes and restaurants in the town! Facitilities were clean, staff were friendly and I had a great time, one day I even went down to the nearby town of Chichester which has a beautiful cathedral and I would highly recommend this trip! Its only a half hour bus away

We were a little apprehensive about staying here due to some of the bad reviews. However, we couldn't have been happier that, for us, they were proved wrong. The site is in a wonderful area, ten minutes walk from shops, bars and restaurants. The staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The site was well maintained with clean facilities. The only small complaint I have is that there was no shelf or seat in the shower stalls and not enough hooks. One hook to hang clothes, towels, toiletry bags and anything else you have with you isn't enough and no screen between shower and hook means your towel / clothes can get wet from splashes. Still - this is only a small issue, and I would definitely stay at this site again.

We have used this site for many years and our kids love it but our experience this year has left us very disappointed and we won't be returning again. The prices have jumped again this year meaning two nights in a pop up camper cost us over £100 which is the price you would pay on a site with entertainment/leisure facilities which this site doesn't have. The price increase would be more bearable if the showers and washing facilities were decent but the showers have been changed to a system which means the water turns off every 10 seconds, and you can't wash your hands properly because you have to hold your hand on the tap, if you dont as soon as you take it off the water stops. The dish washing facilities did't have any hot water the whole time we were there. Add the that loud music being played by some nearby campers that the management didn't challenge - and I mean LOUD basey music and unsatisfactory customer service and we were left very disappointed this time round. There seems to have been a shift into a money making mode where they now don't care about the customer. The are good
