I have visited the Prince of Wales Hotel, Gulgong a few times in recent years. I have always felt comfortable as a tourist. It’s an amazingly charming pub which is filled with memorabilia of the early pioneering days of Gulgong. There is so much to look at as you wander…
What a fantastic place. Great service and $6 lunches and drinks at great prices too. Walk up and down the Main Street and look at all the old shops. The Main Street is very narrow as it’s still the same from the gold rush days.
Lovely pub. Didn’t plan on staying in the town but went for a cold one and loved the place. The staff were lovely. The food was good and really well priced. The rooms were lovely and so cheap for what you get. Will be back
Was expecting those typical motel type rooms but the room has all the basic needs. It has 2 separate toilet and bathroom which was good. An ironing board which is rare nowadays, microwave, mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The room is really clean and spacious and free…
We wanted the country pub experience on our weekend away and the Prince of Wales did not disappoint. Clean and comfortable modern room behind the hotel, the restaurant served typical-in food at country prices.
"Rooms very clean and comfy.."
"This review is about the motel style cabins but the hotel also has pub style rooms and cottages."
"Not a single complaint or suggestion. "
"We stayed in room 13 it is a disabled room with plenty of room but functional. Lucky 13did not bother us"
