Saffire is undoubtedly one of the finest resorts we have stayed at . EVERYTHING is perfection , the accommodations, experiences , location , food and wines . Most importantly is the incredible staff . If the resort is 5 star the staff deserves 10. We can’t wait to return !

Flawless. Exactly what I look for. Degustation dinners, and plenty of available activities. I am still thinking about some of the dishes I had. And they were flexible too - meals were adjusted to suit even preferences, and were still outstanding. Great for a babymoon. I would recommend the guided walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout and the Oyster Farm. To be clear, these were only activities I did, so I am not not in a position to say whether they are better than the other options. I would definitely stay at Saffire if I return to Tasmania. Indeed, Saffire is a reason to return to Tasmania.

Dear LaziestTourist, Thank you for such a wonderful review of your Saffire experience, myself and the entire team are thrilled that you had such an amazing experience with us. Rest assured that our other 16 guided experiences are equally as amazing and could also present a luring temptation to come back down for some fresh Tassie air, if you needed any more tempting. We look forward to welcoming you back hopefully one day soon, Ross

Every aspect of our Saffire stay was amazing. Each dinner was a culinary experience. The activities were top notch as were the guides (especially Nicole and Ash). We really enjoyed the Wineglass Bay Lookout Walk, the Oyster Experience and the Tasmanian Devil encounter. The night skies were beautiful (the Milky Way was visible all night). I wish I had brought the right camera equipment to photograph it. Saffire might consider some sort of activity centered on the night skies. Saffire has become the standard against which all of our future travels will be judged.

We’d been wanting to visit Saffire Lodge for a long time and finally had the chance. We would certainly compliment the team led by Patrick Barrie who went out of their way to help and guide us during our stay. Overall, it’s a lovely spot and the accommodation was excellent with one of the most comfortable beds and bedding we’ve slept in (and we’ve slept in a lot of outstanding hotels). So, sleep quality was outstanding. We walked over to Wineglass Bay and swam. It was beautifully refreshing and clear water accompanied by a vigorous and picturesque hike. We also walked and swam in the beach right outside the resort which was pristine. The Oyster Farm is also a great included activity, though it was so windy we could not picnic in the water which was disappointing. We would have loved there to be a good quality spa, steam room, infrared and other wellbeing activity options befitting of a resort of this calibre. The massage we booked was good. The current gym is very small. I believe the Resort is developing a better spa/wellbeing option. The inclusive food and beverage is great if you like to eat and drink a lot. However, we tend to prefer to eat less and have an occasional glass of wine. So, the all-inclusive pricing did not represent great value for us. That being said, the food was generally good quality and some of it was excellent. We did feel that the gluten-free bread option needed to be better. There are so many wonderful gluten-free and keto breads available now and white gluten-free bread has no nutritional value and is carbohydrate heavy. On the final night we had a degustation and the service was rather slow. There were many international guests at the Resort and we met some lovely people there.

After hiking for days in Tasmania, we splurged on a 4-night stay at Saffire. It was an amazing place with first-rate staff and service. Our room was impeccable, food and wines were excellent, bartenders were great (try some Tassie whiskey or gin), and the guides were top-notch. We really enjoyed the Oyster Farm experience and the Schouten Island boat ride. If you like hiking, consider the self-guided Hazards Loop (about 11k/8m) through beautiful beaches and bush. What a pleasure to stay at such a well-run property. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special.

On a scale of 1-5 they are a 10. In our case, the excellent service began before we even landed... we were contacted by the team to address menus and preferences prior to even beginning our trip. And it only improved upon our arrival. Our family of 5 was met curbside and escorted inside to the check-in area and then ushered down to our adjoining suites where everything was explained. After a short break we had our first arranged experience - visiting a local oyster farm... which doesn't sound too exciting on the surface, but having a personal guide take us out into the middle of a small bay in waders and picking oysters out of the water, shucking them and enjoying them with a great Tassie white wine was a spectacular way to start the trip. We took an incredible hike to Wineglass Bay the next day and then visited the resident Tasmanian devils - truly inspiring and educational. Our stay was entirely too brief, but was highlighted by amazing service from start to finish. The accomodations were top notch, the views were spectacular, and the food and drinks were excellent... but they all paled in comparison to the truly exemplary service provided by the staff. Friendly, knowledgeable and beyond helpful, I felt like they were part of the family before we even left. Needless to say, we WILL be returning... and staying longer!

Saffire Freycinet is truly a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience, unlike anything I have ever seen before. My wife and I stayed three nights to celebrate our honeymoon. The property is situated on the edge of Freycinet National Park, overlooking the beautiful Hazard Mountains, and every room has a view of this dramatic scenery. The client service is exceptional - the staff knew our names, food/drink preferences, dietary restrictions (with a special dinner menu printed each night for my wife, who is newly pregnant), and took the time to create small experiences for us throughout our stay. We enjoyed the Tasmanian Devil, Oyster Farm, Cooking Demonstration, Freycinet Bay Walk, and spa experiences - all led by friendly and highly knowledgeable guides. The food at the Palate Restaurant was inventive and consistently good — breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a wonderful stay at Saffire and are sad that no place else will ever live up to this experience. Luxury at its finest.

A one of a kind experience and deserving of its reputation. We had a magnificent stay at Safire and loved the experiences on offer, from the walls to the lookout, bee keeping, Tasmanian devils, eating oysters in the middle of the ocean. Would not hesitate to return - a beautiful property against the backdrop of a beautiful landscape. The only thing I wouldn’t bother with is the plunge pool room - it is at the back and has no view so wasn’t overly appealing
