Curringa Farm Hotel captivates guests with its well-appointed cabins nestled in a tranquil setting, complete with luxurious amenities and comfortable furnishings. Immaculate cleanliness receives consistent praise, with particular attention to the pristine cabins and bathrooms. The spacious rooms, noted for their modern amenities, luxurious bathrooms, and fully-equipped kitchens, add to the comfort of the stay. While the hotel's value is generally appreciated, some experiences may not meet all expectations. Service is highly regarded, though an isolated review mentioned unsatisfactory staff empathy.

We stayed overnight at the farm with my granddaughter. We had the accommodation called lambs rest it was spotlessly clean and really large and the views are amazing. Breakfast foods were supplied and there is a barbecue on the deck as part of the price. We got the $45 barbecue dinner pack which come with salads fruit vegetables such a beautiful place to stay totally private.

We stayed for one night only, but it was an amazing experience. The little cottage is sparkling clean, the views are breathtaking. We have asked the family to prepare a BBQ hamper for us as we couldn't be bothered to drive anywhere for dinner, and they've delivered — we got a steak, nice fresh Greek salad, and a home-made apple crumble with thick cream. We also got bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast. The farm is quiet and isolated, you can watch the wildlife and hear the lambs throttling by. The only downside is if you share the amenities with a young wife/husband — there's no toilet door (at least there wasn't in our villa, Seagle), and the toilet bowl is like 1.5 m from the bed, so one of you might need to leave and walk if another wants to spend some time alone is the restroom. If you're not too fussy (we're not), it should be just fine. The views are worth the walk.

Hi Anna Z Thanks for your lovely review. So pleased your like our sparkling clean romantic studio, You are correct that the bathroom is a side alcove in Seaglenest Studio. It was a design oversight at time of construction where were unable to place a suitable door in the hexagon shaped 50m2 room. The newer 3 studios have a separate bathroom(with doors) with duo showers and freestanding baths. In Seaglenest The shower and toilet are actually 4 or 5 meters away, behind a discreet wall, we do understand your thoughts and it is in our plans to redo the Seaglenest bathroom in the future. It's just that many customers are like you and "Not too fussy" thus continuing to book this romantic little beauty for its charm and stunning view. Hope to see you again sometime soon and you can try out one of the other sparkling abodes. Cheers Tim and Jane.

We had a one night stay in the Blue Wren studio, it was amazing. Clean, cosy and modern for a great price. Jane was very welcoming and made us feel right at ease. The studios are positioned well for privacy and the coffee and fresh museli were a nice treat when we woke up. The walks around the property are lovely. We can't wait to return with our children next time!

We rented both the Wombat and Echidna cabins for 2 days which was nowhere near long enough. The Wombat cabin was a 2 bedroom with one bedroom at either end of the cabin which was great for a family.
The Echidna was a cozy studio. All cabins are spaced out acres away from each other giving you extra privacy. They are also 3kms from the office. All the cabins look over the farm with the sheep visiting the cabins every day.
If you book 2 cabins you will need a vehicle to travel between them unless you enjoy a lot of walking.
The owners Tim and Jane were unbelievably welcoming, friendly and helpful.
I can't express how great they were in this review. You will need to see for yourself and you won't be disappointed.
I highly recommend the Shearers Smoko Farm tour. It's well worth the money with lovely scones, jam and cream afterwards.

Hi Warren G. Thank you for your fantastic review. We really enjoyed having you to stay. We try to place larger families into cottages that are close together if availability permits. Your two cottages at 200 meters apart, walking through a small patch of forest is a bit tricky in the evening light however the road is only a few meters longer. Up hill one way and down hill the other. The intention of having our cottages scattered about and screened by trees is to give a sense of privacy for every customer so we try our best. Hope you can return one day. take care and travel well. Cheers Tim.

A quiet secluded spot with all the modern comfort, including a TV (limited channels) and a DVD player but no wifi. I'm with Optus, and my phone hotspot works perfectly on my laptop using 4G data. We stayed in the BooBook cottage, consisting of two separate bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two single beds. There are two separate bathrooms in the cottage, and the main one included a bathtub. The cottage came with a functional kitchen and a washing machine. The views were magnificent and the surrounding cottages are quite spread out. The closest one is 50m away but the cottage is designed with privacy in mind. There are 8 cottages in total, and are located in pairs around the property. I found Boobook had a pretty views of the hills. I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, we only spend one night here.

Hi Ben Thanks so much for your review. The WIFI is a tricky one and we would love to upgrade it over time when cost permits. We tread a fine line between expectations of having it and the satisfaction from customers who are "forced" to disconnect for a night and enjoy the surrounds in each others company. Like you most people do have their own data however if anyone is really stuck they are most welcome to use our office and public WIFI for essential connection for business and ticketing changes etc... Same again, 2 nights is really preferred by all travelers to fully experience our beautiful farm. You will have to visit again sometime soon for your second and third night :-) Take care and travel well. Cheers Tim.

We took an excursion out of Hobart, Tasmania, AU. This Farm is a sheep farm and does real farming and has 8 B&B for those that are adventurous. We came here for a day tour. He raises ~700 head of sheep, ~1000 acres of farm land where they grow seed stock and are trying to restore some of the property to what it was like 100 years ago. We saw and tour the farm, witnessed sheep sheering, wool grading, sheep dog herding (really cool) had a top notch steak lunch and met the family.

1 Night: Is simply not enough.
We had the pleasure of staying in the Wombat Cabin recently. From the moment we arrived, Jane was the most exceptional host you could ask for. Everything was explained, any questions were answered.
We travelled down to the Wombat Den, which is a well appointed, stylish 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin. Unfortunately the photo's online just simply don't do this place justice. We were both left speechless. The cabin was neat, tidy, very modern with amazing views overlooking the Lake, Paddocks and bushland. Every Room had the most well placed windows allowing views of every angle.
The Cabins are private, we didn't see another guest the entire stay.
The food package I included in our stay was above and beyond any expectations and was more than enough for our entire stay. Locally sourced produce, meat and homemade apple crumble was lovely.
We enjoyed self guided adventures down to the lake and through the Enchanted forest Walk, searched for wombats and enjoyed the wildlife coming out in the evenings around the cabin.
We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return again this year. This is a perfect location for children, and/or solo trips. Bring some wine, enjoy a good book and relax amongst the sheep grazing in the paddock around you.
My only advice is 1 Night is not enough....... Do yourself a favour and stay longer! You won't regret it! I read the reviews beforehand, and noted a lot of people stating 1 night was not enough, well take that advice please. Our schedule didn't allow for this, but next time we will.

Thank you again Jane for your amazing hospitality and creating a space a world away from our busy lives.

Hello Kylie .Thank you so very much for your beautiful review .I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay here at Curringa Farm. Wombat is one of my favourite cottages however they are all lovley and placed in special positions to gain the best view ,peace and seclusion from each other. So many guests mention that they wish they could stay longer but are on a tight sight seeing schedule.I guess we all need to learn to slow down and recharge our batteries (a hard thing to do in this busy world).Hopefully next visit you can stay longer .Take care ,say safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you again ,Warm regards, Jane

Had an amazing one night stop-over stay and wish it could have been longer. Beautiful location. Little and large modern studios scattered over the estate of open farmland. "Boobook" cottage offered fabulous accommodation up on the hill offering two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms, large kitchen, large lounge areas, windows everywhere overlooking the estate. A wonderful eye for detail from the host with everything you could possible desire. It was a hugely pleasant surprise for us and we highly recommend it. Spent two weeks in Tas staying all over the island and Carringa Farm offered the best overall accommodation

I was fortunate enough to be put up here for work. It certainly made a nice change from bland city hotels! Absolutely stunning cabins, amazing location and really lovely owners. I arrived late after driving from Launceston and the owner picked tomatoes and greens from her garden so I could add them to the breakfast supplies and make a delish omelette for dinner. The only things missing were a bottle of wine and some company - next time!

Hi Rackll. Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes many companies use Curringa Farm as "remote"accommodation in preference to lower priced and rated rooms and cabins. A perfect bed and modern fittings in your self contained cottage make for a home away from home thus increasing productivity. And next time when you bring your company for a weekend stay ( kids or mates) we can provide the wine or beer from our licenced cellar.

Returned In June for our 5th Stay at Curringa Farm. We stayed in Wedge tail Wings - 2 bedroom Cabin ( our go to favorite).
Each Cabin on the property offers unique and magical views and are well isolated from eachother.
Its an absolute retreat away from the hustle and bustle of busy life.
Absolutely recommend the Food (both dinner and breakfast) packages which takes all the thinking out of the stay. Each Cabin is immaculately presented, warm and cozy with the wedgetail offering an indoor fire.
Both Tim and Jane are always accommodating and welcoming hosts along with all their staff. The farm animals Chickens, Alpaca's, horses and Highland Cows were a daily visit for us. Close to Mount Field. We will continue to support such an amazing farmstay. We have found our happy place!

Hi Michelle Thank you for your enquiry. In November we will have many other couples and families staying so the likelyhood of a daily tour happening is very high. We do have many couples and families, not staying, who join for the daily farm tour and many comment on how they wished they could stay overnight at Curringa. I suggest you contact us closer to the time, or when you arrive in Tasmania, and we can let you know which days we can fit you in. You are also welcome to visit our cafe and gift shop for a quick visit and coffee if you don't do a tour. Keep a look out on our website and booking calendar for more information. Take care and see you when we do. Tim and Jane.
