Staying at Brickendon was very special. We had the sweetcorn cabin and it had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The kids (5 and 7) adored staying on the farm. It was so amazingly quiet at night and felt in the middle of nowhere, even though the town is only 5 mins away by car. We got to look...

Given the size of the gardens, I would imagine that the gardener of Brickendon Farm, in its earlier days, would have be held in high esteem ......his accommodation, albeit small, was more than adequate for us. There is a magic to be had , sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine as the sun sets , entertaining thoughts...

Our family stayed in the Old Farm Cottage. Our teenagers loved the character of the home and the history surrounding all the buildings. The staff couldn't have been more accomodating. It was great to be staying on the historic farm after the place was closed to visitors and to wander through the fields uninterrupted. Delicious and very fresh breakfast to...

Our family stayed in the Gardener's Cottage, Pea in the Pod and Sweetcorn cottages. The Sweetcorn was our favourite as it had a bit more space but still so warm and cosy. As some posts have mentioned, the standard of cleanliness was so so. I know there is rustic, but maybe not dirty and cobwebbed. Some furniture was broken and...

I phoned to say I had been delayed and that I would arrive shortly after 5pm. The young man who took my call said the owners were away but 'no worries'. When I arrived at 5.15pm there was a note with my name pinned to a board with a sketch map to my accommodation, the Gardener's Cottage. Having spent two...

We stayed at Pumpkin cottage for 4 nights. Very private, lovely outlook, cosy and functional. Brickendon is interesting, the farm animals are great, the walk to Woolmers is invigorating, and the Woolmers estate is superb. The issues we raised were dealt with promptly. Don't feed the turkey, unless you want to be woken up at daybreak. However, the muscovy ducks...

We stayed here for three nights. The gardener’s cottage is isolated, away from the main homestead, and is very quiet and secluded. It has excellent views across the river valley and mountains. Birds are everywhere in the surrounding trees and shrubs and their constant singing is really lovely. We had full access to the gardens around the beautiful main homestead....

Stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to launceston and it was such a new experience for me and my boyfriend as we have never lived in a farm before. We stayed at the Gardener which was a historic house. The house was so spacious with a large kitchen and dining room and it had full set of utensils...

We recently stayed here for one night only before our flight out of Launceston and instantly wish we had stayed longer. The cottage was quirky and had all the comforts. The breakfast items were included and were absolutely delicious. The surrounding farmland was just stunning. The kids loved the animals and the historic buildings were beautiful. If you are looking...

We were unsure what to expect on this adventure having read a negative review on the Coachmans Cottage at Brickendon. Luckily we ignored it. The Cottage was incredible!!! The gardens also impressed us. Magnificent century old oaks shading well tendered gardens. We were truly taken back to our grandparents day. Being grandparents ourselves that was an age ago but we...
