The setting is superb with great views of the river. the cottage was clean and modern. plenty of variety of breakfast food is supplied as part of the accommodation cost. there is a very relaxing spot on the river bank at...

We had a delightful one night stay and had a special close up sighting of a platypus while enjoying a wine on the jetty overlooking the Derwent River.. The breakfast provision were delicious and the room was great.

Stayed 2 nights at Shingles . Was most impressed by the quality of furnishings etc. Veronica is the most trusting of hosts and very friendly. Very pretty location on the banks of the Derwent River in New Norfolk. Easy drive to Russell falls and Salmon Ponds and both well worth a visit. Only problem was WiFi connection.

Great little cottage. It has all the facilities that you need. Lovely and clean and modern. Heaps enough room for a portacot and for all our luggage. Great place and could have stayed for much longer than just one night there. :)

First time that we haven't booked ahead, on arrival the owner was heading out for the evening. Within minutes we were unpacking our car and Veronica had set us up with a perfect breakfast for the next morning, she was very trusting and accommodating. The unit was well appointed with everything and the river behind was beautiful. Bed was super...

The cottages are located on the banks of the beautiful Derwent River close to the historic town of New Norfolk (settled in 1807). There is so much to do in the area and the local people are friendly and very helpful. The cottages are nice with all of the usual conveniences and well priced. Probably in need of a little...

What a wonderful surprise this property was! We stayed in Paddy's Flat and couldn't have been happier. It had everything we needed plus lovely touches like robes, a selection of dvds, wine bottle opener and stopper, hairdryer and straightener, and lovely photographic artwork taken by the owner, Veronica. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the furnishings are very tasteful, the...

We stayed in Paddy's Flat, which is a bit of a walk from the carpark with a lot of luggage. The only other negative was the noise coming from the flat upstairs. Other than that, we had an absolutely lovely stay. The grounds and view of the river are beautiful, and it's just so relaxing. The room was clean, really...

Stayed in the Derwent Cottage with a group of 5 ladies for one night before heading to The Agrarian Kitchen. Lovely cottage with everything we could possibly need, and despite the dreary weather, we couldn't help wandering about outside by the river in the crisp early morning air. Good supplies on offer for breakfast. Comfortable, warm, and quiet, would definitely...

We stayed at The Shingles for two nights, in Birches Cottage, which has two bedrooms. The property was clean and comfortable, and in an excellent location between Hobart and Mount Field National Park. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchenette was sufficient for our needs. Generous breakfast provisions had been left also. The view along the...
