Arrived after driving from Hobart in St Helens and decided to stay the night. Drove around and found this little treasure. Lovely place to stay, great views, clean and awesome location. Friendly lady checked us in.

The owners could not be more friendly and helpful, was a problem. The unit we stayed in was self contained, everything you needed plus bathroom had a spa everything was so comfortable. It was not even 5 minutes from town, great playground for kids lovely green grass so clean and relaxing. We could not fault Homlea and highly recommended staying... More

Very clean self catering accomadation. Living area is spacious, clean, cozy. New heating /ac system. Would recommend a stay here. Greeted by the owner who was lovely and let us have a look at the accomodation before we decided. It's 5 mins walk to town centre

In short I was very disappointed. The place markets itself as a four star motel but the reality is the room we had (room 6 - make sure you avoid it) would only be worth a star or two. I think the high reviews Homelea has earned on TripAdvisor relate to other (renovated) rooms. Nothing wrong with a motel having... More

Homelea doesn't look much from the outside but check it out. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had been stuck by floods and Homelea was last minute but very glad we chose here and that they had a vacancy. The kitchen facilities were a bonus. The owner was very helpful with information on road closures. We were very... More

We stayed at Homelea for a night. It was fantastic. The whole unit was immaculate, fresh, warm and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and had a better nights sleep on it than we do on our own bed! The bathroom looked brand new, we were in unit 5. We had fresh towels and plenty of spare towels, face washers,... More

We booked the only unit that looks out over the water after researching accommodation in St. Helens on line. We were very glad that we did! We found the unit to be modern and clean with two bedrooms, a sitting room with a kitchen area and dining table at one end, and a bathroom. It was not cheap at $170... More

So lucky to have got the last room at Homelea. My husband and I had just been to an overpriced and completely run down hotel for a look and so glad we listened to our gut and said. 'No thanks". I called Homelea and Cath said she had one room left. Such a nice suprise up on the hill looking... More

The name 'Homelea' and online description rather undersell this accommodation. It has been updated, recently and thoughtfully, from an old style motel into large suites with parking outside each unit. It has a smart exterior including BBQ and kids play area and smartly refurbished and clean rooms. Our rooms were large and the well fitted out- kitchen and bathroom looked... More
