Booked and was told there was very little available ... arrived to find quite a few tables empty! No cutlery until AFTER meal arrived! Had to wait a while to get wait-staff's attention to get water after I had gone to the bar for drinks. Food was okay ... steak (medium rare) wasn't greatest as it was quite tough and...

We booked in late and took a room without on-suite, which is unusual for us. Bathroom and toilet was right next door . Room was comfy and ok. Staff were helpful. They have a good fester aunt for evening meals.

My wife and I did Dinner here the other night. This is a Country Pub in the Main St. of Stanley. An easy walk from most places in the town. The Decor of the Pub was nothing special, it was ok but not breath taking or anything like it. We were warned about the prices the Hotel charged but decided...

We stayed at the Pol cottage (2 bedroom cottage attached to Stanley Hotel business) for two nights and it was really good accommodation. Great location with beach views and close to the center of town and the Nut. Really well appointed cottage and amenities were good. Great shower and one of the best things about this accommodation was the washing...

There is not too much to do in sleepy Stanley, but if you need a good night's sleep, you have found your place. The hotel is centrally located and has a parking lot. The town pub and a restaurant are attached. We were greeted warmly at check in and were provided with information about the town, including the path to...

Excellent so good we stayed longer than intended. We had stunning view of the bay from our bedroom. The food served here in the dining room was very good and a varied selection. We found the staff very willing nothing was too much trouble. This hotel was a good base to explore the area.

Tired after climbing the Nut? Spend the night in Stanley at the 'Village' : a down to the seaside dependance of Stanley hotel . Confortable rooms with Sea view, Worth every penny of it. And before sleeping have a walk to watch little penguins coming back home.

Stayed one night here and loved the place. Stanley is an amazing geographical part of Tasmania and the hotel is right in the centre, on the town side at the bottom of 'The Nut'. The hotel is a great looking old historic building but our upstairs en-suite room was in contrast and quite modern. Loved staying here. Had meal at...

This is a beautiful, gracious old Pub we spotted whilst up the nearby 'Nut'. The food is high quality restaurant fare within a casual, but still elegant, bistro. All five of our meals were great, and the local producers are respectfully acknowledged for the role they play in this, throughout the menu. I had a beautifully cooked cape grim steak...

We stayed at the Stanley Hotel for one night. It is conveniently located in the center of Stanley, just below "the Nut". We had a comfortable and quiet bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the 1st floor of the hotel. The restaurant was very busy and lively. There were many food options, including vegetarian. There was no breakfast served in...
