We were floored by the location. Overlooking the water was an absolute pleasure. We had a room off to the side of the house. It was easy to access and we didn't have to bother the owners at all. The kitchenette was great. The new bathroom was a bonus. We will stay again.

Wonderful linen and amenities for the price plus a great view and only a short walk to all the restaurants in town, no cooking facilities in the room but it has coffee and tea making with a fridge and microwave plus sink and continental breakfast provisions. If you sleep late do not get the front rooms as the early risers...

Thankyou Bernie for leaving feedback for us on TripAdvisor, my personal opinion is just because you are budget concious does not mean you get a room with no frills, i am to give all my guests a dreamy nights sleep, and it is a bonus when you can wake up and look out the window at a beautiful view! We stayed in the Bentley suite of the Bay View for two nights and were not disappointed! The room offers a beautiful view of the water and you can set on the sofa in front of the window and watch the world go by. There is a small kitchenette with toaster, fridge, coffee and cereals, bread, milk and oj for...

We have been complimented many times for the layout of our suites, your not on holiday to our gorgeous town to watch t.v and we find so many of our guests simply telling us they do not turn them on, because they are not in front of you...the view is! I will admit on the odd occasion i have snuck...

I had the Trenerry suite upstairs, a lovely cozy room with 2 dormer windows overlooking the sea. This room shares a bathroom with 1 other room. No problems. It also shares a well appointed kitchen, and the makings of a decent continental breakfast was in the fridge. There is a door to the garden out back, and this also makes...

Thankyou Rodney for leaving your thoughts on the Trenerry Room on TripAdvisor. Our smallest room at the Bay View but still spacious, bright and welcoming and some of the best views the Bay View has to offer over Tatlows Beach! We have found if you have travelled and shared bathrooms before there is no issue, and we find so much...

Sandy was lovely from the first time we spoke on the phone. She accepted my last minute change from 4 to 2 people without a murmur and booked us into her best room at a discount! She helped us choose a restaurant and told us places to visit in Stanley. She was a great help booking us into our next...

This historic pub (dating from 1849) has been turned into a guest house par excellence. We stayed in the Lowry suite, an absolutely huge, recently redecorated studio with lovely soft colours and carefully chosen period decorative features, but with every mod con, including a surprisingly comprehensive kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom with a waterfall shower. Generous breakfast making materials were...

Chris i am humbled by your beautiful thoughts regarding our Lowrie Suite, we had a tricky space to work with when designing our kitchenette and i have to admit it has worked wonderfully! We aim to give our guests a relaxing space in which to unwind and "relax" and we find so many of our guests once settled in do...

Wow, we absolutely loved this place! Sandy was very warm and welcoming when we arrived, and she even gave us a free upgrade to a room with a private bathroom! The whole room was very spacious with a view overlooking the beach. Bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet (even on new years eve!). We fell in love...

The guesthouse was so convenient to all Stanley has to offer. We stayed 3 x nights in the Bentley suite and had the advantage of a kitchenette which was so valuable to us as we were there on Christmas Day and nothing in the township was open. Sandy welcomed us with friendship and information on everything we needed to know....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1949, The Bayview has had a colourful history. From its humble days as a pub in the early 1970s it was left stripped and abandoned almost on the verge of being demolished. Over the next 15 years it underwent change and renovation into the building it is today....do not judge a book by its cover. Her bold colour assures the Bayview never blends into the background; she stands proud and refuses to be missed, but her interior is undergoing some major cosmetic updating to reflect the history of the building and incorporate some modern creature comforts. Sitting on 3/4 acre of land, the Bayview boasts views from every angle and window, private courtyards verandahs, private balconies and a wandering garden full of trees, flowers and wildlife, so sit back with a hot cuppa, or a glass of wine while the kids play, we are all about family and relaxing and enjoying everything the Bayview and Stanley have to offer! ... more   less
