Fabulous place to stay in our motorhome, big pitches in a tranquil location, facilities are clean and modern, small bar which provides breakfast, snacks and fresh bread when ordered the day before, it is a family run site and is kept to a high standard, reception are friendly and helpful, there is also a games room, small swimming pool and play area for the kids. I would definitely recommend staying at this site.

We have just returned from a 12-night stay at this immaculate campsite. It’s set in beautiful natural surroundings with mature trees and a stream. The shower/toilet block was pristine, cleaned very regularly. Our host, Corine, was always friendly and available if assistance needed. Cycle paths run adjacent to site, perfect for surrounding local area by bike. Absolutely loved it and look forward to visiting again in the future. Can’t recommend highly enough.

What a shame during such exceptional circumstances because of Covid19 our original holiday plans were cancelled so we booked a lodge in this lovely looking site just one month ago and paid in full. Unfortunately France has now joined the UK quarantine list so we are unable to travel. The campsite has refused any kind of refund or offer to postpone our holiday to 2021,so we've lost £700. It's a tough time for everyone financially so this is quite upsetting as most other companies are much more sympathetic to the situation, offering part refund or a delayed holiday.

We are really sorry, but every week we have cancellations, last week it's 4 chalets, the previous week it's 3, every week it's the same, we cannot refund, since the start of the season we we are also undergoing this situation and it is very very difficult, we should not book when we are not sure of being able to leave. It is impossible for us to re-rent this chalet at the last minute, we are sorry believe it

On paper, the site looked great and to be fair we had come from a very beautiful manicured site in the Alps so it had a lot to live up to. Check in took ages and the lady at reception seemed to have be rather vague and have no local information and pointed us in the direction of the local tourist office for anything we wanted to know. Our pitch was on the upper level. (The lower level pitches are down by the river) She offered us a ‘very quiet pitch’ which we discovered backed on to a very busy rat run road which was pretty noisy. Maybe she thought we would appreciate being away from the pool and play area, which, to be fair, we did. The pitch quality was very poor and uneven. Large tree roots and trip hazards were unavoidable, and we had several nasty toe stubbing bumps under our tent floor. Our mattress was also on an unavoidable slope. The roadways were very uneven and quite dangerous with large loose chalky rubble particularly at night when the lights go out at 10.15pm and most people walk around in flip flops. I saw a couple of kids come off their bikes on it. The showers were push button, and adjustable temperature and in a lovely new block. However, they were very fierce and everything not hung over the door was likely to get soaked. On commenting to the cleaner about it, she said it was ‘normal’! We felt rather cut off -especially on Sunday night when we went looking for a restaurant. We ended up driving some 25mins before we found something open (25th August) There is little to do in the area apart from the lake. The rubbish bins were over flowing and completely chaotic. Any chance of recycling things into the correct bins was impossible, strange as the site seems to promote an eco-friendly ethos. They weren’t emptied in the 5 days we were there. And it was 30°. The good points: the Lac de Der was fabulous and we found a lovely beach where we could take the dog to the left of the main beach. The wooded area behind our pitch was great to exercise the dog. The river was also great for the dog to cool off in at the far end below the rubbish The pitch was under large trees which were fantastically shady as it was very hot and was probably ten degrees cooler than in the sunnier pitches. The coypu in the river were fun to watch on the hike to the washblock. The pool looked nice, though small and had times of the day when it seemed very quiet. We didn’t use it though. There is a freezer for freezing ice packs. We bought ice cube bags so we always had ice for our G&Ts! We were asked for payment of the balance of our bill (payments in cash only! ) although we had paid it via the booking company. It all seems a bit chaotic and as though minimum effort is put into the place. It’s expensive for what it is.

it is essential to respond to your comment, reading you one gets the impression that you have arrived at the worst campground, we actually have pitches not very far from a small country road, but there are few cars. The land is hilly and very wooded, which is why there are roots, which all the trees must be cut! the sanitary facilities are brand new and our trash cans are collected every week, so it is in our village, yes indeed there were a lot of people this summer, as for payment I never ask for cash, and I do not charge people twice,

A great site in glorious setting. We (3 adults 2 kids 7 and 11) spent a week in well equipped safari tent, so had our own bathroom and kitchen with full size fridge freezer, but the on site shower/toilet block was spotless and lots of sinks, showers and loos. Small pool was never too busy and even had it to ourselves at times, again it was clean and loads of sun beds and parasols provided. Nice little playground for younger kids and the adventure park in the trees next to the site is brilliant fun and well priced. Plenty to do around the area, especially the nearby lake with great clean beach with hire of pedalos, kayaks and paddle boards etc loads of free parking and toilets and showers. It is a natural lake so water is not exactly crystal clear but clean enough, we spent hours in it and no tummy bugs. Kids were entertained watching the coypu swimming up and down the stream running right past our decking area, even coming out to nibble on the grass right next to us. Will definitely come again and take or hire bikes as loads of cycle paths around the lake and forests. No big deal for us but wifi was patchy at best in safari tent area, but good around pool / reception.

Two adults, three teenagers and a dog from the UK enjoyed a really great week camping. We had lovely pitch next to a small river that was full of life - including a family of beavers swimming by in the evening! The owners were really friendly and helpful, the bread van brought a great selection from the patisserie each morning and the washing facilities were modern and - like the whole site - very clean.

Alas we had only two nights on this beautiful campsite; had time allowed we would have stayed longer. The infant River Blaise slipped past our pitch, silent and bottle-green. On the riverbank opposite, a family of Coypu lived and entertained us each morning and evening. The nights were quiet and dark, the sky silver with stars. The sun rose across the river, and an avenue of trees along the banks provided cool, marbled shade on our pitch. The pitches are well-spaced in this beautiful location. We could equally have camped on the wooded hillside, or near the play area and swimming pool; we were given a choice. The new adventure park on site - for both adults and children - looks amazing; we shall have to return for a longer stay so that we can play in it. The sanitary block is very thoughtfully designed and impeccably kept. A baker arrives each morning and offers a choice of bread and pastries. What more could you need? There is much to do in this area. We took the cycle path that passes the site entrance to the Lac du Der, and this track continues around the entire lake. There are also cycle tracks along nearby canals and one that follows an old railway line: these, of course, make for safe, flat cycling. But the local lanes are almost traffic-free and there is much more to explore if you cycle or walk through this beautiful rolling scenery, passing through the pretty villages. Louvemont, a kilometre away, is a very interesting village with some beautiful old houses. You will get a very warm welcome from Jean-Jacques and Corine when you visit this stunning place - and I recommend that you do visit it. We shall certainly be going back.

We are parked close to a small river steam. The wildlife is fascinating. It is one of the cleanest and well kept site we have stayed on. The pool was so nice after a bike ride around the lake today. There is a go ape on site too and a play area for children. You can camp, caravan wooden cabins and glamping. The owners are so helpful they can’t do enough for you. Facilities are so clean modem and well kept. I wood so recommend staying here we have had a lovely couple of day.

Stopped here for a couple of nights to break up a journey from Vosges Mountains back to Euro tunnel as it wasn’t too far off the main road by St Dizier. Helpful reception lady who came out to us despite being closed for lunch according to their sign. Also popped in the first evening to check we were okay. WiFi is free and was a bit patchy the first afternoon but fine after that. Got a nice pitch overlooking a stream and fields with electricity and water on the pitch. Toilet block appears to be newly refurbished and was spotless inside. Loo roll is provided but no hand dryers that I could see so take a paper towel with you to dry your hands. At this time of year it was pretty empty and quiet which was great. Cycle path to the lake (Lac du Der) which is virtually all tarmac bar a few slightly hard packed gravelly bits starts right opposite the entrance. Took us about 30 minutes to get there from the campsite. The whole ride from the site to the lake, all they way round it and back was approx 32 miles. All very easy cycling with the only inclines being between the campsite and the lake. Pleasant site that we would stop over in again.

Corine and Jean Jacques run a wonderful camping location in this low key rural location. There is great imagination at play here from the geodesic dome reception, through the adventure area and generous pitches to their own cut-log house. The location lights up even on a damp early fall morning and must be glorious in full summer. Their hospitality is well thought through (great facilities, relaxed registration etc) and.... well, they did us a great favour helping get us to dinner at a local restaurant when we were there! On our list to repeat.
