The restaurant has a welcoming feel about it, situated over a stream and the menu looked very tempting. My husband chose a steak which he was very happy with, I chose a wild mushroom linguine which I was very disappointed with. A bowl of dry linguine with a dash of oil on, no sauce, and the only mushrooms I saw... More

Booked two nights in a row while near Bath for the weekend. Lovely location near the river and picturesque bridge. Candlelit restaurant with open wood burner set the scene for a great evening. Good choice of food with mid range prices. Service attentive and welcoming. Places to eat more informally than the restaurant make this a great choice for an... More

We stayed just for one night in late October and rented 2 of the rooms, plus had dinner and breakfast. Food is excellent! The service and hospitality of everyone was above and beyond. The rooms were very charming, just be aware that the beds are small so you will need to get cozy :-) The bathrooms were spacious, lots of... More

We started a 14 mile circular walk from The White Hart and needed to stock up with calories. The full English breakfast was simply the best English breakfast I have had in a hotel including several 5 star establishments. There was everything on the plate, and I only just finished it, furthermore at £8:95 including coffee it was excellent value.... More

We were out walking in the area and our guide book recommended the White Hart, so we decided to go there for lunch. We ordered fish and chips and egg, ham and chips, both things pretty standard pub food. The quality of the fish was very poor and the chips were terrible, uncooked in the middle. We asked for some... What a great find, we sought out this restaurant for my Dad's 81st birthday and were not disappointed. The dining room is so cozy, we had a round table facing the courtyard, perfect. I had a steak, it was delicious they have a special oven which does an incredible job on the steaks, it was served exactly as I requested,... More

We are, drank and slept here, as did our two doggies. The food was brilliant, try the steak and shared pudding. Adam, the manager, and his enormous dog were extremely welcoming as were his staff. They have recently undertaken a refit of the garden and the place is even more of a gem than before. If you visit you will... More

Loved that the accommodation is separate from the pub. Great food (the steak was amazing!), very cozy restaurant and pub. Superb staff, especially Adam, who dealt with everything with a very 'of course we can sort that out' manner. Definitely coming back here!

Have visited a few times over past 6 months and each time staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was served quickly but still good quality and willing to change things for fussy eaters! Definitely recommend, a lovely relaxed setting ad I felt comfortable enough to breast feed my 6 week old baby and not feel awkward, thank you.

This isolated and peaceful place is perfect to spend a couple of nights of relax. The facility is super tidy and nicely decorated, our room, noisy shower aside, was nice and cosy. The pub serves delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. The service of the staff was not the most remarkable but certainly my overall experience was very pleasant.... More
