Have been to the restaurant many times and usually very good food. However todays visit was as tale of two halves. Starter was really good (chicken and the scotch egg) Mains were a total disaster. My wife's fish had a piece of bone and gristle running through it that was about half of the piece of fish. Sent back and the replacement was only marginally better. My burger was more like shoe leather, served with a mushroom that was either overcooked or a reheated left over. Decided to call it a day - not a very good birthday treat! Service was good and staff very apologetic but was disappointed when I was told by the manager that they would pick up the tab to then be presented with a bill. You would think with things as they are they would be trying everything to get customers to come back. We will not be going back until we hear things have improved.

Nice location on the centre of the village. The menu was quite expensive, but the food was really good quality and tasted amazing. The service was quite attentive to everything and nice to all clients.

Gorgeous small hotel/Inn in a charming location. We had a night here en route to Bath. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and staff were all really friendly and attentive. Room was clean, comfortable and sooo quiet. A great find for a night away :)

We like to go for overnight stays to different places on a regular basis and due to the pandemic we hadn't been away since December. We chose The White Hart in Ford and were not disappointed. The place is lovely, a beautiful building in a pretty spot, not far from Castle Combe (which we wanted to visit because it looks beautiful and was where parts of the film Stardust was filmed). The room was plush and warm and felt wonderfully relaxing. Dinner was perfect. A warm welcome from friendly staff, lovely decor in the restaurant, and Covid measures in place to make you feel as "normal" as possible. We had really tasty burgers but the star of the show was the chorizo macaroni cheese side. Stunning. We also had a really good cooked breakfast the next morning. Would highly recommend and would like to come back. Thank you for having us White Hart!

Nice location, friendly staff (even when faced with American visitors complaining about Covid rules), lovely food. They have good c19 safeguarding, it can’t be easy running a place like this and getting the c19 rules running smoothly for every single visitor, please consider the difficulty before giving a negative review on that, it can’t be easy. A little patience goes a long way..
