We stayed one night after eating at chez Francois. It is a three minute walk to the B&B. Our room was nice and all the furniture was clean and in good shape. The host was terrific. She has owned the place for a few months and is upgrading the property. Breakfast in the morning was made on site and tasted...

The location could not have been better! 1 block to the beach and 1 block to the restaurant (Chez Francois). Our room was fine. The bathroom was clean with new sink, toilet and shower. Plenty of water pressure. The room was quite small. No room to sit and read. The outlets were two prong and not polarized, so I was...

We stopped here as we drove across the country after New Year's. The house is on Lake Erie (which we discovered the next morning!). We were warmly welcomed. Our room was large, with 2 beds. Just a word of advice - there are a lot of stairs. Not a problem for us, but if accessibility is an issue you might...

I was nearly put off by some negative reviews but found those reviews to be inaccurate. We had a lovely overnight stay at the Gilchrist Guesthouse as we passed through on a route 80 road trip. We walked to Lake Erie and then into town for an ice cream. Our room #1 was wonderful. Lots of room and very clean....

Dan & Laura are the ultimate proprietors!!! Their guesthouse is fabulous. The guest rooms are immaculate and the beds are extremely comfortable. We stayed in room One which was the biggest and we loved it. The front porch is our favorite place to hang out and the location of the guesthouse is wonderful for parking your car and just walking...

All I can say is don't go here. It's depressing. The single bed in the room didn't even have a mattress, it was a boxspring. The towels were something you'll find at a thrift store. The furniture actually was torn and stained. The area that had the boxes of cereal...that was breakfast.... is gloomy and had a fan blowing 24/7....

This review is completely untrue. That suite has a queen size bed as well as a twin bed, and both beds, of course, have mattresses and boxsprings. There are NO stains or rips in any of the furniture, and the towels in that suite were purchased two weeks ago. As for the breakfast, it is a continental breakfast and includes...

We booked the Gilchrist Guesthouse to visit friends in Vermilion. The location is very good as it is walking distance to the Main St Beach and downtown. We stayed in room 4 which has a double and twin bed, there was plenty of space in the room for the 3 of us. For light sleepers you may need to sleep...

I loved my stay here. We learned a little bit about the owners. They made it very comfortable for me. I booked all six rooms months before, but had a family death. I didn't need all of them, figured I still need to pay for them. They didn't charge me for the three I didn't use. I will definitely be...

A classic B&B, with a good balance of practicality and "cuteness". Some of the units have kitchens, others are two story. While it's clear you're staying in a historic house (the doorknob is loose and some of the fixtures more dated than antique) it is a nice place to stay. Breakfast is serve-yourself cereal, fruit and baked goods. At only...

It is a very old fashioned place. But its cute and comfortable. If you want a REAL bed and breakfast then this is the place to be. No owner bothering you every second or trying to get you to leave. Very lovely breakfast display in the morning. Just overall has a very homey feel.
