My room was beautiful. It was very very clean and very warm and homey feeling. The only disappointment was there wasn't a bathtub, but other than that it was a comfortable bed and plenty of space to hang and put your clothes. I love that they offered valet and I also love that if you didn't want to do valet...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Atherton Hotel during America's Greatest Homecoming at Oklahoma State University. I had heard the rooms were small (and they are!) however, they are very well appointed and decorated. The bed and pillows were comfortable and every square inch is utilized. We never felt crowded. The view over the Student Union Gardens was...

Thank you for the kind words Lori. We are very proud and excited to finally be open and able to serve all alumni and visitors to Stillwater. From all accounts, this was one of the best Homecoming celebrations ever held here...then we won the game!! Hope to see you on your next trip Lori. Josh

The Atherton is newly and completely renovated. We stayed the first week after it reopened, so there were a few glitches but it was generally very nice. Our room was large and comfortable, with upscale furnishings and linens. Staff was, for the most part helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet in the Rancher's Club was very good as well, with several...

As a local, I recently attended a meeting in an upstairs conference room at the newly renovated hotel - which gave me a chance to view all the public areas as well as one of the individual rooms. The decor is comfortably formal with a few tasteful on-trend touches. My husband and I have stayed at some highly rated renovated...

Stayed a few days for parents weekend. The hotel is completely redone, the rooms are quite small and clean but very expensive. My queen room was $349. There was only hot water in the shower, no cold. Internet worked at night but not in the morning. The standout was the cleaning staff, the most courteous I have ever experienced. So...

Pat, Thank you for staying with us and for the review. The room you stayed in is normally $159.95, but during a football weekend our rate goes up. Parking is a major challenge for us. The Student Union operates the parking garage and they charge the $35 for game weekends. We offer valet service to the garage across the street,...

Student operated hotel that had just reopened after an extensive refurbishment that gave it a very rich and warm welcoming atmosphere. As we were dropped off at the door we were warmly greeted by the bellman. We approached the reception area that has 4 large desks in it. One of the students checked us in and told us about the...

We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding. The new decor is well done and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the service was pleasant and efficient. On the down side...the bar only stayed open until 10 pm, the water from the bathroom sink smelled like lake water, very unpleasant, the service at the...

Hello Judy C Thank you for the review. As you can imagine, after being closed for renovation for over two years, we definitely have some kinks that must be ironed out. Please allow me to attempt to address a few of your comments. *We established the bar hours with the idea we would adjust as demand dictated. Up until now,...

I stay at The Atherton for most Alumni trips back for my fraternity's annual dinner and gala. The rooms are very comfortable and come with wifi so I can keep up with work. The hotel staff is superlative and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay enjoyable and memorable. The proximity to the Greek house...

We had our wedding party stay at the Atherton and it was awesome. School was not yet in session, but the band was practicing and so were the cheerleaders outside of the hotel. Great access to the strip and being on campus easy to walk to everything

I paid a premium price to stay at the historic Atherton. I was pretty disappointed. I also paid extra to get a suite, but the bedroom was tiny and it had a tiny sitting area, and a tiny bathroom. The bed itself was great, and the linens were wonderful, but the furniture was old and run down. The bathroom was...
